Terra Viva was a godsend after a week of adventuring in the Amazon. We chose to stay here for a couple days after landing in Cusco to acclimate to the altitude before continuing on to Machu Picchu. Of the 2 weeks I spent in Peru, Terra Viva was undoubtedly the best place I stayed.

They're located just outside of Urubamba in a quiet, remote spot. All you can hear are birds chirping, wind blowing through the trees, and the occasional guest or employee walking across the gravel paths.

It's an absolutely gorgeous property with beautiful flowers, trees and mountain-scapes. We were especially in awe of the nightly starscapes - I don't think I've ever seen so many stars in my life!

Breakfast was also a highlight. It's buffet-style with several types of fruits, cheeses, cereals, breads, pastries, jams, juices, plus some western hot foods like eggs, bacon, and pancakes.

The room was incredible too. Clean, comfortable beds, nice bathroom, and good quality toiletries. They even leave a little chocolate on your pillow each day.

In the lobby you'll find 24/7 coffee, tea and coca leaves to help you with the altitude.

Staff was also very nice. I would definitely stay here...

I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel. We came with a group of 14 for my husband and mine's 5th wedding anniversary. The location is absolutely breathtaking! You are off the beaten path a little, and the hotel is gorgeous. They take very good care of it, it is truly a little piece of heaven in the already beautiful sacred valley area. On top of how great the hotel and location was, the staff was excellent. The spa was wonderful, I highly recommend the couples massage. The breakfast was a great spread and the restaurant was delicious. Every single person we encountered working there was friendly and helpful, but I have to point out Eduardo who worked at the front desk - because he went above and beyond and impressed all of us. he was friendly, knowledgeable and made special requests for us without us even having to ask. The entire group left feeling as though we couldn't wait to come back. Thank you to Eduardo and Tierra Viva Valle Sagrado! We loved every minute, and can't wait...

The service is very dedicated to guests.|The hotel facilities are impeccable.|The food is of very good quality, although the variety of dishes could be expanded.|The chef is very dedicated to customer service and concerned with customer satisfaction. I had the opportunity to speak with him, and he is a down-to-earth person who strives to please his guests.|Important: Book direct transportation from the airport to the hotel (if you're arriving in Cusco) because it's not easy to get there on your own. I booked the service with the hotel, and the service was excellent.|If you are taking any medication, don't forget it because there is no place nearby to buy it. Other products can be purchased at the hotel.|If you are taking tours, bring cash. In the Sacred Valley, they charge a fee for using credit cards or don't accept them, and only accept a digital wallet for Peruvian guests (Yape) as a digital payment method.|At the hotel, credit cards can be used without any problems and...

Beautiful place to stay in Valle Sagrado, Urubamba. Rooms are very comfortable, there is only one electrical outlet near the twin beds, need at least one more. I would add a little chair and table to sit in my room’s balcony and enjoy the beautiful nature of their garden. Saying that, I love the views of valle sagrado from my room’s balconies. There is a beautiful native lady with her baby working a loom and selling her work right in the middle of the garden. I love it. At night there is a fire pit and guest can sit around and sip wine, great coffee and tea. The lobby is great and their staff take care of your transportation needs if you ask. Wonderful staff. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Stayed here for a night with my family while on a trip to Machu Picchu. It’s a 20 minute drive from the Ollantaytambo train station. It’s a peaceful environment and there isn’t much to do in the area, so you can just relax. They greeted us with chocolate chip cookies when we checked in and people were friendly. We enjoyed our stay but my only complaint was with the restaurant. There were only two waiters to handle a full restaurant so service was very slow. The chicken in the Caesar salad was also undercooked. They do have cuy which came in a confit as well as American sandwiches. They do have a water bottle filling station by the lobby.
