This is a very nice spot in the middle of a rocky desert. It has SO MUCH POTENTIAL! But Yura in general isn't marketed very much at all, so neither are their thermal/therapeutic pools. So it certainly isn't living up to its potential.||The pools weren't in a state of all being ready for use, which made our trip from Arequipa a bit disappointing. There was one tiny pool with way too many people in it, so we used a half-full pool with who-knows-what-kind-of-healing-properties.||From here we went to the big pool next door (for an additional fee - as it's a different property owner). We were alone in it, as we visited on a weekday.||I've also visited the "Poza Fierro Viejo" down the road, and actually had a good time there. Primitive by 'western' standards, but fun, and I'd go again!||I really do recommend a visit to Yura's thermal baths if you have an extra day in Arequipa. It's good for you, and is another 'cultural experience' if you're not from around...
Read moreThe worst service I received. Water didn't run in toilet, staff let me spend 5 hours till they accepted to change room( the hotel was empty that day). New room was not so clean as well. No internet signal in most of the hotel. Breakfast very simple, no fruit or vegetable. No stores nearby.|Hotel staff didn't offer any compensation or at least glass of water to my pregnant wife during all the time we waited. Neither informed us what/when gonna have a solution. Even when they finally agreed to change room, it was me that had to go to reception and ask for some news.|Terrible, horrible, embarrassing treatment for guests.||The hotel is located in a nice place and has nice garden. It is better if you come early in the morning and just enjoy your day in the thermal water (30...
To get to the hot springs of the Yura spa and to the Hotel, we take a Combi (small micro) which for $3 soles takes you from the Ferrocarril del Sur Station, to the entrance of the hot springs. The facilities are impeccable, in terms of comfort and aesthetics of the hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped. We stayed in a room for $150 soles (30,000 clp approx) which included cable TV, private bathroom, American breakfast and full access to the hot springs (until 3:00 p.m. hrs), all very clean. The negative details is that it does not have Wi-Fi, which is offered in the promotional video of the hotel and the service in the restaurant, although it is very attentive, what is offered on the menu does not match the dish delivered, which detracts from the service in general. Another aspect that should pay more attention is the cleanliness of the pool water, but despite that, the hotel has large areas where you can enjoy the...
