Updated May 2025 Much better than last year. Thank You👍
Updated April 2024 (1 - ⭐) I have been visiting and staying here for the past 7 years, I've even rented their function room once back then to celebrate my daughters 1st Birthday, I've always regarded this place as a decent 4-star until recently. The food here for me is mediocre so for the first time last Year we brought in food with reasonble corkage and rented the cabana or maybe island room I think, we were 5 adults and 5 grade 2 kids. All was well. Recently we checked in at the (Ibriza) room near their common pool area. I asked my 11 year old niece to request for 6 pairs of spoon and fork for our dinner. Only to be told by the lady at the bar that they don't lend spoon and fork if you don't order. and was told to clean it before returning it back, I find that remark as very insulting and distasteful. Back in Nov2023 when we borrowed their utensil there were no issues. That evening I addressed my displeasure at the front desk with Carina Bungcaras a very nice and professional lady and pays attention to my resentment. That evening Carina was apologetic ang according to the lady at the bar she was misunderstood and that she only said to clean the utensils before returning it. Obviously she is just making an escape goat. Even that excuse doesn't make sense, so she means then that she lent us dirty utensils and tells my niece nicely to wash it. There was more short coming with this resort but I won't get to that anymore. Perhaps it may be their right that No order no borrowing of utensils, if that's what they like to enforce they should have stated that more clearly with their rules, perhaps they wouldn't want to do that since it can be a turn off to potential customers. Updated Nov. 2023 (4-⭐) It's cozy , reasonable priced and...
Read moreIt took 2 years of planning and finding the perfect spot to hold our 35th High School Reunion. We zeroed in on Palmas Del Mar for it's tropical atmosphere and great amenities. From the onset, I was assisted by Reyzil who was so professional and helpful in selecting our Theme, buffet selection and giving me options for our budget. Everyone enjoyed the food, the music and the decorations. The Marketing staff are also ever ready to help when Reyzil isn't available namely: Joyce, Stephanie,Emy, Eunice, Markie and Julie. The rooms are kept neat and clean by the best housekeeping crew: Maylene, Fe, Eleanor and Anabel. Breakfast has a set menu and you have to order it with Jackie and the rest of the servers who always smile despite the demands place on them. Thanks also to Armando, the Head Manager who was present the whole time we were having our reunion and is hands on and dependable when needed. From the Bellman Rodel and others (sorry I forgot their names) who never hesitate to lend a hand with our luggage with a pleasant attitude and a smile. Mark, the security guard ensures our safety around the property. One of our classmates fell on the pool as he was drunk and the lifeguard came to the rescue to save him. Wow, I can't ask for a topnotch service. You guys are awesome! I truly appreciate all your excellent service.I won't hesitate to recommend Palmas Del Mar to anyone not just for the beauty of the place but the awesome staff. Thanks for making our party a huge success. Hope to do it again with you...
Read moreI am writing to express my concern about an incident that occurred during our stay on August 2, 2025, in the south side of the resort. We are frequent guests of Palmas del Mar and we've always appreciated the quality of your service. It was a disappointment to have this recent experience. Around the time we checked in, a foreign gentleman accompanied by a Filipina woman began taking pictures of our table, which had food on it that we had brought into the resort. This action made us feel very uncomfortable. One of our family members later overheard this same gentleman reprimanding a front desk employee. We were informed that the issue was about our corkage fee, which a staff member had previously told us would be settled upon checkout. While we understand that policies need to be enforced, we were taken aback by the manner in which this was handled. We believe it was unprofessional for a manager to confront a staff member in the presence of guests, especially given the public nature of the front desk. We were later told that this gentleman is the resort manager. We have been loyal customers of Palmas del Mar for many years, even during the time of former manager Ronnie Lizares. It is disheartening to see this kind of behavior, as it does not reflect the professional standards we've come to expect from your resort. We hope you will address this matter and ensure that all staff members, including management, conduct themselves professionally, especially when interacting with guests...
