Baganga is near and dear to my heart. Love the coastline, especially the one in Salingcamot area. Playa del Rosario's beachfront does not disappoint. There's just one distraction for me though--that unfinished pier/abandoned structure/concrete beams sticking out. My daughter said they're creepy, especially during night time. Luckily, my family and I got to occupy beachfront #4, so we don't have a direct view of those beams.
Things we love: Mineral water + dispenser in the room Beachfront area Large deck with table/benches Even though one of the lady staff said they only serve from 6pm onwards, the manager in charge during that day said they can cater to our request to serve our dinner orders earlier (5pm) because we were doing an IF
Things we like: Pools (it seems super chlorinated by the way our hand and hair still smell with chlorine even after rinsing) Big servings of their sweet/sour fish and beef viands (their ala carte items are pricey, plus they charge you with corkage fee)
Things that we don't like and ultimately are the reason why we won't come back: We went last November 10-11, beach was not swimmable. Their beachfront rooms are priced high, but the room we got (#4) was dirty (cobwebs, hair, and dust on easy to reach areas) and has remnants of the last guest (see photos). COVID-19 is real, so I don't appreciate an already used soap with pubic hairs, already opened toiletry kit, unswept long hairs on the floor (my daughter and I, also my husband, have short hair, so those couldn't be ours), a hair tie left near the toilet door, dirty smudged glass door (like somebody with sticky hands played with it), previous guest(s) left a pack of cigarettes, and a discarded face mask tucked within the nippa roofing outside the deck that's within reach. Poor sleep quality because of the noisy box airconditioner (I wish I can share the video I took). Faucet in the toilet is broken. Saltwater running water. Though pressurized, it's still salty. Videoke hours at night. Most of the people who work there seem cold and aloof. They are not attentive (we had to check if there's a drink that comes with their...
Read moreA well-kept place for sanity break in these tough times. It’s quite far but easy to navigate. They give out detailed instructions how to get there once your booking is confirmed.
Since it’s summertime and reservation is a must, this place is fully booked especially on weekends. I think they are booked until June. Best to go here on a weekday.
But that’s the catch, since they are fullybooked, they have not added any staff. I pity their cook and staff who were overwhelmed by the number of guests. I’m not even sure if our rooms were disinfected enough. Or if the bedsheets were replaced since it was still rowdy when we got there by 4pm for check-in. If you’re too picky or if you have kids. just bring your own disinfectant and spray.
We have to make a request several times for towels and it was just thrown in (wala ng tupi-tupi haha parang galing pa sa labahan na hindi ka sure if nalabhan ba😂)
Everything is pre-booked and if you have an exclusive event prior, admin should have anticipated the number of guests already. Staff were just overwhelmed and tired. I hope they get a bonus for their hard work.
For the view, this place is topnotch. Coastline is still uninhabited for most part. Waves are okay for amateur surfers and it’s also kid-friendly (unlike in Dahican, Mati).
The food is great too. Seafood sampler is P2,500 for a selection of crabs, shrimps and lobster supposedly (but it’s not in included in our platter, probably unavailable and since we’re famished we did not ask anymore). Everything tastes good anyway. 😁
Visit their Fb page for details on accomodation prices.
Oh, the place is pet-friendly too! You can bring...
Read moreWe had our office team building and evaluation here. We were surprised as to how we arrived there. Though it was kind of far, but the destination was worth it. We travelled almost 3 hours from our place (excluded the side trips).
The place itself is beautiful. The money spent was worth it. We rented private villas (including the one with a jacuzzi tub). The rooms were spacious. When we arrived, they were clean. Complete utensils and kitchenware (from plates to knives).
We weren't able to swim in the infinity pool near the restaurant, because we had our own, but one thing's for sure, it was beautiful. It was beautiful to look at.
We weren't able to swim in the beach, as well, for it was kind of a long walk, but it was a white sand beach. Still beautiful.
