Boulder-Bay Residences — Hotel in Basco

Love the location!! Our room had the view of the bay which was so stunning!!! The rooms were clean, however, the water pressure is really weak. They don’t clean the room unless you request it which was fine. Free breakfast was ok. Staff however were very kind and friendly. I would recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Batanes!! Just recommendations for improvement: - better communication from the staff constant refi of toilet paper (we always have to ask every day and they give us only one when there is an event (function room is being used on the 3rd floor where we are), there needs to be a cutoff time. They were having really loud karaoke, we had to tell them ourselves that they need to stop as we couldn’t sleep, they should keep in mind that they have guests staying and wanting peace and quiet. We chose Boulder Bay because of its Mountan and Sea View. It’s a bit far from the plaza, but it is compensated with the availability of free shuttle and food delivery option from Bunker, with minimal Delivery charge. What makes Boulder great are also the people. I love Lala. She’s so pleasant, same as Ms Alpha. Also the people in the kitchen has been very accomodating for preparing food for my Senior Citizen father who has diet restrictions. They also accommodated the fish that we bought in their freezer. This Hotel is a hidden Gem. Overall, I would love to be back again. PS: their function room are for rent, and when we were there, the rotary club had their event. 'Our home' in Batanes for 5 days, BBR is the perfect accommodation for travelers like us. Our room is so clean and inviting and with the beautiful view of the ocean from our own balcony! (Check the photos!). You can just leisurely walk towards the nearest beach from.the hotel.

Also, the hotel staff are so friendly and very accommodating, fulfilling guests' requests big or small as long as doable. On our flight back, we forgot to get the frozen fish we bought. But to our amazement, the van driver handed to us the fish and even managed to even put it inside a more presentable eco bag!

Been to many hotels before but we never experienced such courtesy as this. So if you are thinking of a good accommodation in Batanes, choose Boulder...
