JVJ Hotel - Batangas City — Hotel in Batangas City

Not sure how this place has such a high score, but it most certainly does not deserve it all!

Rooms are very small and look like something out from a short-time hotel. Bathroom is super small and the shower faces near the toilet without their own space (so the toilet is also wet when you want to use it), something only very cheap hotels have. In addition, front desk staff cares more about chatting with their coworkers, no customer service skills or warm greetings whatsoever. To top it off, they have absolutely no flexibility in their ridiculous policies and they look for any way to charge you or be cheap. They don't even want to give us an extra cup of coffee, and they tried to charge us additional fees during check-in, my god! Stay far far away...

Very clean, great service and staff, affordable rates, and perfect location for those looking for a nearby accommodation from Batangas Port. Downside - Room security is just not very great since door locks are just the basic type, not like the double-lock ones. Iron for clothes and hair dryer are also not available - so minus points for...

The rooms are clean and look new. This is by far the best looking hotel in the area. However, rooms are not sound proof - we can hear construction work in other rooms so we're unable to sleep well from our long drive during daytime because of the noise.

No parking fee, free breakfast and coffee is OK. Staff are accommodating...
