I first visited Lafayette Luxury Suites Beach Resort back in 2021, and it was truly one of the best resort experiences I've had. It holds a special place in my heart, as it was where my husband proposed to me. That memory made the resort unforgettable.
Fast forward to 2025, we decided to return to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but unfortunately, the experience this time was disappointing. The resort appears to have deteriorated and is no longer as well-maintained as before.
Room (Family Room for 4 pax): The room was spacious, clean, and the air conditioning worked well. However, there are several areas that need improvement. The towels were rough and clearly worn out. The TV was disappointing—during our 2021 stay, it had Netflix access, but now it doesn’t have an active account. The cabinet housing the refrigerator was damaged. The shower head was in poor condition and should be replaced.
Restaurant: The restaurant staff were attentive and the food was delicious. However, expanding the menu with more options and adjusting the prices to be more reasonable would be a welcome improvement.
Housekeeping: Housekeeping was responsive and quick to replenish toiletries. They were attentive to our requests throughout the stay, which we appreciated.
Front Desk: The front desk staff were accommodating and answered all our questions politely and efficiently.
Common Areas & Amenities: The common areas need serious maintenance. The pool, which used to be a highlight, was dirty and had noticeable moss build-up. It seemed like no one was regularly cleaning it. There was also no enforcement of basic hygiene practices like showering before entering the pool, and guests were even seen placing sea shells in the water.
Many of the features and activities we loved from our 2021 visit like the beach theatre, beach bonfire, and beachfront couches were no longer offered during our 2025 stay. These used to add a unique charm to the resort, and their absence was disappointing.
Final Thoughts: I hope the management takes this feedback seriously. For a place that once felt magical and memorable, it’s unfortunate to see its decline. Given the current state of the facilities and the limited activities offered, the pricing no longer feels justified. I genuinely hope they make the necessary improvements, as the resort has so much potential and holds many cherished memories for...
Read moreMy experience in the place was that I like it, it was more than exeptional, upon entering the place the first thing you see is the spacious parking space, the small "garden" with the small fountain and the pathway leading towards the suites. The suites were spacious aswell, being with a group of 13, they were able to accommodate us into a single suite, the suite was good and comfortable with television in every room and fully air conditioned, the suite had a bit of a homey feel to it, one of the minor but negligible things to notice are the worn out shower heads that spew water all around when turned on but can be controlled by turning the shower head into a better direction. Moving on to the activities, there is the swimming pool and the beach to swim in the waves are calm when we were there so its also ok for kids to play in always with adult supervision though, there are seats where for people who want to relax and sunbathe instead or stargaze at night which is what I did, and a bonfire to warm you up at an already warmed up night, I saw boats and a jet ski on the beach but i don't know whether the it is a part of the resort activities. The food, for me is not that good, it's exceptional but not for me, one of the highlights of vacation like this for me is the food, but this didn't hit me as well as it should have been, people flock at dinner time in the place, i noticed this because there were more people at night than waking up in the morning, thus making the food good but it's just not for me. Im going to give it a score of "it's ok" but its more than that since it has good ambiance, and good accommodation but the food just...
Read moreWe booked two 3-bed villas for our family weekend.
The villas are spacious and nice. 3 bedroom with 2 bathroom. All rooms are installed with air condition including the living room. Toiletries are included and complete. Wifi is good and one of us completed her work on the villa. All rooms are with small tvs while the living room has a big tv.
The whole resort is clean and well maintained. There are Instagramable areas. Tho it only has 2 pools, one for the kids and one for adults. Their staff is polite.
The beach area is ok. It's just ordinary beach, not white sand tho the sand is fine. The waves are strong and we had fun with it.
We requested for a special dinner since we are celebrating a special occasion. We ordered different dishes in advanced so that they can prepare them and the food will be ready on time. The food was good but some of us got tummy aches. We just not sure if they got it from the food that was served to us.
The complimentary breakfast was buffet style. But I was informed that their breakfast depends on the number of Thier customers. If there are few people, they will just served packed breakfast. All food was good. The drink was lychee and it was too sweet for my taste. So I just added water to it. The food that was served to us were soup, tapa, longganisa, Mongolian vegtables, and freshly cooked omelette eggs.
Overall, this beach resort is great. Very recommendable for your weekend getaway and for those who needs to do their...
