The previous three reviewers had a completely different experience than our group of friends. We stayed here as we were birding in the area. The hotel is conveniently located to all activities in the area. Comfortable beds, kettle and hot water with little pressure. ||The staff is very accommodating but you have to ask multiple times for your requests - this seems typical in the Philippines. ||While the rooms were a comfortable size, the cleaning of the room and contents was lacking. Maintenance was poor as some of the rooms had leaking toilets. Lots of air fresheners to try to cover up smells and sweet gas. ||While the food was good, it was generally not warm and getting what you ordered was sometimes a challenge - rice bowls should have rice, etc. mango shakes were excellent. ||The pool was nice and clean but the tiles around the pool are super slick and the pool chairs were dirty and had lots of bird poop on them. ||Truthfully, if they spent some time doing a good job cleaning each room and their lobby/pool area, it would help...
Read moreOverall it was still a pleasant stay just for 1 night stop over in Bohol. We stayed here as it was close enough to chocolate hills only a 20min bike ride away. And close enough to the hanging bridge and kayaking on Loboc River.
The room was basic, shower was weak and the toilet did not flush. So sadly our basic hygiene needs were not met had to use the bin filled up with water to manually flush. The bed was comfy and had a nice view of the sunset from the room. The curtains don’t cover the whole window so make sure to bring your sleeping mask.
The area downstairs is okay, the pool is very cool when not in the sun so I would wait to get in until the sun comes over the pool.
We did get breakfast which is a choice of eggs or pancakes for one options and then a more filling breakfast with meat and rice for the other option.
We also managed to rent a bike from them which was great for dashing about to...
Read moreLovely smiling and friendly staff. It was quiet at night and we slept very well. I’m sorry but to be honest I can’t recommend this hotel as it was inferior and more expensive compared to the other hotels we visited on Cebu and Bohol and Panglao. The pool was dirty and smelled bad. Toilet of the room leaked. Half of the ceiling lights of the room were blinking. The edges of the wallpaper are fraying. Food was expensive and tasteless. The hotel maybe has been nice but unfortunately it’s a bit worn as it’s not well maintained. The hotel has lost its boutique spirit and turned into a mid-level guesthouse. Through the open-roofed central part of the building, small birds can get into the restaurant space, and due to poor maintenance, there may be bird droppings on the tables and chairs. Birds can even enter the kitchen through the open top of the wall, which can be dangerous for...
