A Heartfelt Review of Our Farm Immersion at Jolit's Eco Garden
Our immersion at Jolit's Eco Garden was more than just a learning experience, it was a journey that shaped us not only as students but also as individuals. The knowledge we gained about farming, sustainability, and hard work was invaluable, but what made this experience truly special was the quality of lessons imparted to us. Beyond technical skills, they taught us the importance of respect, teamwork, and valuing one another.
One of the greatest highlights of this immersion was how they empowered us with moral lessons that guided us in life. They instilled in us the importance of respect—not just for nature but for each other. They showed us that in every task, there was meaning, and in every moment shared, there was a lesson to cherish.
Above all, I wanted to express my deepest gratitude to the farm owner, whose kindness and generosity made this experience unforgettable. From the very first day to the last, they welcomed us with open arms, not as mere visitors but as part of their family. We might not have been connected by blood, but at Jolit's Eco Garden, we became a family in mind, heart, and soul. I'm very grateful and blessed that I've met you ma'am Gwapa Lita and Sir Gwapo Jomer, the two of you teach me how to be true and to be an effective, good, and responsible leader.
The bond we built, the memories we created, and the warmth we felt would stay with us forever. If ever given the chance to revisit a place that held a special place in my heart, I would always choose Jolit's Eco Garden. It was not just a farm—it was a home filled with love, laughter, and lessons that would remain with us until the end of time.
Thank you, Jolit's Eco Garden, for the knowledge, the values, and the memories that we would...

We planned to stay just 2 days 6 months ago and loved it so much that we extended our stay the first time and came back 6 months later to the Philippines to stay a few weeks again especially at this farm 😍
Me and my partner love this place so much, they make you feel part of their family and treat everyone with so much kindness! You get to see locals rivers, viewpoints, sunsets/sunrises with the owner + they cook for you delicious food from their garden with fruits shakes every morning! 😋 We got to be part of so many events here at their village : birthdays, fiestas, movie nights… the kids around are waiting to play with you everyday and are all so sweet.
I can’t recommend this place enough, if you go to Bohol , you have to stay there!! 🥰
Cheapest way to access it : Take the ferry from Cebu pier 3 to Tubigon. Then take the local bus just outside the port in direction to Carmen :50-70 pesos/person (ask locals and reject the Tuktuks as the normal price for such a drive should be around 300-400 pesos with Tuktuk but they ask minimum 700-800). When you arrive in Carmen you can take a bus to Batuan for around 30 pesos which takes you to the market (5min to the farm by Tuktuk) the price for these 5 min is no more than 30 pesos. We took it many times and if they ask you more say no and wait 30 secs for the next Tuktuk to arrive.
You should plan to start the journey early afternoon maximum because I don’t know if buses run late at night (ferry around 14 or 15 max)
Activities to do nearby : chocolate hills free viewpoints, sunrises & sunsets spots + rivers and Tarsier 🥰
Ps : If you come don’t expect luxury but rather living like locals + if you have time walk the dogs 🐕 they...
Read moreone of the highlights of my trip! I originally planned a shorter stay but ended up spending four wonderful nights at Jolit's, and I can't wait to come back!
The location is perfect: very close to the Chocolate Hills, scenic viewpoints, and beautiful waterfalls, making it easy to enjoy these places peacefully at sunrise and sunset.
The farm itself is a serene and beautifully maintained oasis. Simply walking through the grounds, surrounded by a wide variety of plants, animals, and insects, is a rewarding experience on its own. Jomer, Lita, and their team are incredibly welcoming, helpful, and kind, creating an environment where you immediately feel at home. Their conversations are enriching, and you’ll find yourself learning something new every day. I was lucky enough to witness the harvesting of stingless bee honey, guided by Jomer’s detailed and fascinating explanations. My stay was truly eye-opening and reflective.
The meals were another highlight; delicious, healthy, and diverse, offering a real discovery of Filipino cuisine. Water refill is unlimited. They also provide affordable scooter rentals, making it easy to explore the surrounding areas.
The accommodation is simple yet very comfortable. The bungalows, shaded by trees and equipped with fans, are clean and cozy. Toilets and showers are also very clean. While you shouldn't expect luxury, the experience brings you close to nature, offering everything you need for a truly restorative stay; a wonderful way to reconnect with the essentials of life.
I can't recommend Jolit’s enough! Thank you so much to all of you, from the bottom...
