Biggest improvement that could be made is the transportation to and from the property. For the place it could be good to make up a habit / schedule /connections for the vans or buses for traveller's.
Just small improvements: start selling earplugs because of the roosters. We had our own so it's a no problem for us. Maybe provide a bag of Off - repellent for guests, or sell it at the property. Add the mosquito net to the corners of the ceiling, we had few mosquitoes to come in the chalet. Also the mosquito net which was at a place was a bit small for the bed. Maybe consider adding a fan?
Lovely place with down-to-earth chilled vibes, close to nature and animals (mostly roosters, cats, dogs) but also quite close to attractions with a scooter - which they rent from the property. The host family is so lovely and Maria made really good food for us, which was also affordable. She can serve breakfast and dinner if requested. Shower has only cold water, but for us this was not a problem. Would like to see a small shop at the property with some snacks etc.
We were also invited for a family dinner because of special occasion, which was really nice. Maria's friend also brought us to see some fireflies close to their house, which we also enjoyed very much.
Thank you Maria and the family for the...
Read moreHighly recommended place, especially for travellers. Maria and her husband June are two very hospitable Philipino people, who took really care about us. They speak excellent English , helped us planning our trip with suggestions and they booked accomodation in another place for us. They took us to a place to spot Fireflies close to their house. They provided for a fair price breakfast and dinner for us (99 peso per meal per person). The next they they arranged a tour for us. We went to a cave and tubing on the river.
About the place itself. It’s good, especially for us who are traveling on a budget. The place is very clean, powerpoints in the chalet, the WiFi is very fast (most fast so far in two weeks in the Philippines) and the location is really good. Only a 5 minute motor ride to the chocolate hills.
Thank you for hosting us Maria and...

You can get there from the bus station in Tagbilaran very easily with the Bus - the bus stops directly in front of the Charles. If you have any questions the owners are there for you and help you with everything. After we arrived we got really delicious and fresh prepared food, it’s cheap and sooo good! They have also vegetarian food! The Junjal’s backpacker is located next to the chocolate hills, you get many secret and exciting tips for the plan of your vacation here. You can rent a scooter and drive around bohol. The experience here was such a 10/10! I’ll recommend it and if I come to the Philippines again, I’ll will visit Maria and...
