Kayla'a Beach Resort and Blackeye Brewing — Hotel in Bohol

This is my second time back here ,was here last Christmas/New Year and find it very relaxing and enjoyable. Yes, Kaylaa's is far from anywhere but it is it's little touch of paradise in the heart of Dimiao. The beach is not so much a beach but the view from the resort is spectacular especially at sunrise and sunset! The food is excellent and reasonably priced, however sometimes a little slow to get to the table.🥗🍲🥣😢 I organised a dinner on the beach for my girlfriend and the staff went out of their way to make it a most perfect evening. THANK YOU! I also enjoy the fact you can talk to Woody the owner at anytime and he is very approachable and enjoys a chat. This time I had the pleasure of staying in Sea Breeze Suite No. 4 which I believe is the best room in the resort as it is right on the beach and has windows on 2 sides facing the water. Love it!❤ I will be back again.

On a side note I do see alot of negative comments here and can't see why?? But I guess every person is an individual and has there on feelings and wants. SO EACH TO THEIR OWN! They could however definitely teach the girls/staff to be more friendly,happy and to talk to you. They are very cold and non-talkative unfortunately unlike many other resorts or hotels I have stayed at throughout the Philippines.

I am a regular here as I live a few miles away and as an American residing in the Philippines Kayla's is like an oasis of fine western cuisine to me. Woodey, aka sir John as the locals call him is the friendly American owner who shops daily in Tagbilaran for fresh ingredients to serve and once a week he goes to Cebu to purchase fine cheeses,salad dressings,etc so that Kaylas always has the finest and freshest ingredients.The pizza is divine. He has an extensive Mexican selection as well as Western steak recipes. I mean this guy is a food perfectionist having spent his life in the food industry. In addition to the food John brews craft beer that is top quality and reasonably priced. Each beer comes in a separate ice cold mug. Every month there is a full moon barbeque for guests. The surroundings are beautiful with plants and exotic trees encircling a pool area and the resort is located right on a sandy beach. You can tell that every detail of this place has been planned for satisfaction of the guests. Even the music at the bar is hand selected by Woodey.I have been all over and around the island of Bohol and can say without hesitation that Kaylas has the best food and beverages.
