Good place to stay when in Boljoon. The room is decent in size with AC. Decent wardrobe but could use an update — preferably one were you can hang clothes with. They will provide A towel — just one but maybe you can ask for an extra. Bathroom is okay but NO BIDET. :/ The staff are courteous and very helpful. :)) The hotel has an infinity pool but were a bit dirty when we checked in. They have access to a side beach. You can order food but we didn’t tried them. There’s a curfew at 10:00 PM coz they lock the gate since there is no security guard for the night. Parking is limited and at the side by the street, was safe when we parked there. Overall, Jaynet with the price of accommodation is a good stay in Boljoon if you will use the place just to sleep at night after full day of travelling in South of Cebu. 🙌🏻👍🏻

Arrived the property 10pm. Easy check in. Friendly staff. Great service. They’ll cook for you when you buy the ingredients (from Oslob market) for a small fee. Bought a kilo of avocados for them to blender for a fee of 50 PHP. The two double bed bedroom is big and clean. Nice view even from inside the room. You can also feed the fish just beside the property. Free breakfast for four for us. The breakfast was quite simple, though. Free use of snorkel, fins and floats, and Netflix/WiFi. It’s about 25 minutes to the whale shark watching site and a spring board to four waterfalls in southern Cebu. This was the reason we chose this resort, as well as the good review we’ve read. Glad we did. Will stay here again - but with more company.

I cannot express my feelings in words to how this place made me and my family feel. This was by far the best place that we have spent our Christmas Family Tradition at. Everything was just perfect for us. And did I mention that the hospitality and service would have you not wanting to go back home anymore? Now I mentioned it. 😁 Their crew there was just amazingly great. I would really highly highly recommend this place when you go down South of Cebu. One of the very few places in Cebu that my family want to go back to..... and we have been to so many places in Cebu.

What can I say...I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my stay. So much so that I want to go again. Though not a 5 star hotel (and 5 star was where I was headed next), it was definitely 5 star service with 5 star views.||||We stayed in the family room and this was extremely spacious. There was also complimentary Netflix (I know u wouldn't need these on holidays but it comes in handy and was great for the kids when we were in the room. ||||The bathroom was a little narrow, but still very nice and exceptionally clean. We were greeted with a bout of sweet aroma when we first entered the bathroom provided by an air diffuser, so the bathroom presented a nice scent upon arrival. Bonus was that there was indeed hot water and controlled by a modern flexitap. The hot showers were perfect after our days of swimming with sharks and canoneering (jumping off cliffs into the water ). These were activities suggested by our driver (who I also highly recommend). It was not something we planned but something we definitely enjoyed and were happy to experience. The hotel can help you with all that at the front desk with their packages.||||Breakfast was prepared according to our schedule (even at a 4am start!). It was then left ready for us on the balcony. The staff would personally come to your door and knock to let you know that breakfast was waiting for you.||||Additionally, the hotel organised a hairdresser, manicurist and masseur for us upon my request. As these services were not available at the hotel, they organised this from the a nearby town (20 mins away) and came after we returned from our activities (which was at 8pm at night).||||Would definitely recommend this hotel, if you are looking for a place to stay in this area. It was very well priced and a pleasure to stay in. They are also available via chat on their facebook page which is great if you have any questions.||||P.S They said an infinity pool will be completed by March 2019 which has me...

There are a lot of nice resorts in and around Boljo-on & Oslob in Cebu with all the wonderful and fancy amenities one would aspire for. However, if you're just looking for a nice comfortable place to stay in preparation for your whale shark encounter that would give you your money's worth, then Jaynet Ocean View would pass that criteria. Nevertheless, based on my own perspective, here are the pros and cons that I considered to come up with this review:

Pros: -A good wide 180deg view of the sea from our room was truly awesome. -There are just 4 rooms making the place less crowded and less noisy -Easy access as the place is just along the main highway -Food is served in an area just outside your room for convenience -Nice place to just unwind, meditate especially in the common veranda area -Good food but very, very limited choices. You could request though for possible alternatives. -Staff are extra accommodating (Michael cooks well)

Cons: -Wifi is very poor and slow. Bring your own Smart wifi for backup. -Globe signal here is intermittent -TV reception is bad leaving you with no choice but to watch DVD -Swimming area in the beach is not that encouraging as boulders and rocks surround the front area. Water is not so clear with strong waves. Probably okay for snorkelers as there seems to be a marine sanctuary in the area. -Not much activities for families with kids -No swimming pool to compensate the lack of swimming area in the beach

A nice Nipa covered lounging area in the lower and upper verandas would really give it the comfort one would...

The PRO'S: Close to family. Close to water. Friendly staff. Room was spacious enough. Price was reasonable enough. The CON'S: Very limited secure parking. They have room for one car/van/Hiace inside the gate assuming the staff hasn't taken it for their motorcycles. Parking just off the main road isn't my idea of secure parking but at least you can get completely off the pavement. The air conditioner works well enough, but don't expect it to be on when you return in the evening. Each day we would visit family and when we returned we found the air conditioner was turned off and the room wasn't serviced. The mattress was what I have come to expect when away from the larger metro areas. Maybe 6 inch foam covered in a vinyl which doesn't breath. The mattress has a fitted sheet but no top sheet. I have to wonder how often the comforter is cleaned? Breakfast is one egg, one slice of ham? sliced very thin and two pieces of loaf bread toasted to varying degree of color from just enough to be thought of as stale bread to medium brown. We went to Prince Warehouse and bought a jar of marmalade and a kilo of bacon which the staff were gracious enough to cook for us each morning. Like I said, the staff was very friendly. I blame the poor experience on whomever the owner is. Offer a better breakfast, sheets, service the rooms, fix the parking, get better mattresses, don't turn off the air when we are gone. Charge more if...
