Negative Aspects: • We arrive in the morning for breakfast. Both our pancakes were burnt. • Staff arranged us a motorbike, but it was overpriced and with a lot of defaults: the horn, lights and accelerator were not working properly, it was not REGISTERED and in their terms and conditions it states you have to pay 75.000 pesos if it’s lost/stolen… we were feeling unsafe on the road at night time because there are a lot of dogs and we couldn’t use the horn plus the light was really week. They told us they would change the motorbike but never happened. • The first night after shower our room was flooded. Although the staff kindly came to clean it. • There is no signal and you cannot call reception or anyone. The numbers don’t ring. And if you need help you’ll need to walk 5 min to get to the kitchen where the staff is. And only until 7pm… • The breakfast that is included is poor. Just two options: bread with garlic or bread with jam. In 4 days we just had 1 time breakfast there and when we decided to have breakfast packed for our 8am flight they promises us they would pack it and they didn’t. The staff didn’t even come. Arrived at the airport and the only thing they have there is junk food: chips, cookies and chocolates.
Positive aspects: • The place is situated in a really beautiful location. • At night time it is really peaceful and you can see fireflies and hear frogs and crickets. • Staff had arranged us a tuktuk to go to the airport. • Place is clean. • The...

The Good Clean Rooms: The rooms are nice and clean. Quiet Location: It’s a good spot if you’re looking for peace.
The Bad
Customer Service:
Upon arrival, my partner, who booked the hotel in her name, received a handshake from the owner while I was completely ignored, despite standing right beside her. This blatant disregard shows zero respect for customers. When we were escorted to our room by the receptionist, she held the door open for my partner, but let it slam shut on me as I was about to enter. This treatment left me baffled and frustrated.
Breakfast:
The included breakfast is an absolute joke for the price. In my 15 years of traveling, I’ve never encountered such a poor offering. The options were either two slices of bread with jam or butter, or two pieces of bread with Andalusian sauce. That's it!
Utilities:
There was no water or Wi-Fi from 5 AM to 7:30 AM on both mornings of our stay. This repeated inconvenience suggests it’s not a coincidence but rather a management issue.
Animals:
Before entering the hotel restaurant, we were confronted by a cage holding four large chickens in an incredibly cramped space. This heartbreaking sight added to the overall negative experience.
Conclusion:
The overall management and treatment of customers are horrendous. This has been by far the worst stay of our travels through the Philippines. I would definitely not recommend this...
Read moreIzustarri is such a special place, because of the unique location where it’s placed, beautiful rocks formations next to the vast open sea, you really feel the tropical wilderness. At night it’s surrounded by fireflies and it feels like a fairytale. It’s so peaceful, you sleep so well, the rooms are really comfortable and clean, it feels like the place embrace you.
I love the way in to the hotel, the “corridor” thru nature, it’s somehow mysterious, and then u suddenly bump to this unexpected brutalist building.
You can feel the love the owners put in every corner of the property. Not only in the property but in the menu they have in their restaurant called Garage. Everything is so well thought and taking care of. So yummy. You can really feel when the owner is a real foodie, this is one of those places. I forgot taking pics of the rest of the food I tried, for some reason just took of this two but they have muuuuch more, things that I didn’t photograph that you can only find here cause the menu is so special.
100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a...
