Extremely disappointing and terrible experience at La Florentina Resort....
We booked a total of 8 rooms for our family, friends, and guests, and unfortunately, it ended up ruining our wedding day.
Some of the staff were rude and unhelpful, and the bridal room had no water in the toilet or bidet overnight. By morning, all 7 other rooms we booked also had no water. Imagine 4–6 people per room, all waiting to shower and get ready, while our hair and makeup artists were supposed to start at 7 AM, yet still no water.
The Function Hall was another issue. We booked it until 9 PM, but they said we had to pay for an extension because they claimed it was only until 8 PM, even though that was not what was agreed upon.
To make things worse, just before I was about to walk down the aisle at 3 PM, I received a message from the admin/reception at 2:30 PM saying:
“Hi ma’am, sorry to disturb you. Remind lang po para sa mga room na mag-check out, kindly surrender the villa key po sa ticketing office. Thank you.”
This was completely inappropriate and stressful, especially since we were still booked overnight and they knew it was our wedding day. We already had delays because of the water problem, and instead of helping us, they added more stress at the worst possible time.
Such poor service, disorganized management, and zero consideration for guests. I would not recommend this place, especially for important events like weddings. Truly...
Read moreThe place is nice itself. But the staff service has to improve. I am for sure gave 1500 pesos (for 3 people) and my friend gave 500 pesos deposit since we are staying in a villa. Upon check out only 1000 pesos was given to me and told me that the lady only received 1000 not 1500 and told my friend that she did not gave 500 pesos deposit. So, an advice to the management and staff issue a copy of receipt to customers upon check in. Also, wasn’t happy at all that there was no light around the resort from 7pm when we were there. The resort was dark, slippery and no safety for customers. Asked the staff if they can switch on the lights while we are walking to our bedroom (after collecting my friend in the reception) but the man said that it was the owners order to switch off the lights if there were not enough people so we walked through the dark couple of times. And one more thing corkage fee is way too high. And lastly, stray animals went throught our bin and woke up that everything was everywhere. So, giving this experience 1 out of 5 and not advising or recommending this place to stay...
Read moreThe place is very good for family get togethers and children. Adequate parking area. They have 3 clean pools (adults and children pool), numerous cottages, grilling areas and Air-conditioned private rooms. Staffs were polite and hospitable they would even provide you with pulling carts for your bags, food or things as you arrive on their parking space. Garbage bins are also everywhere.
My only comment is that the kids pool-side areas have slippery floorings, I would suggest that they put some anti-skid linings or Mats. There were also lots of flies around the cottage areas flocking on our food and going inside our private room. I suggest they put some sort of flytraps or nets around the area. It was really sunny and hot the time we went, I wish there were shaded areas on the pools with some makeshift roofs or trees nearby. An indoor pool might be a good idea too.
Overall, landscape of plants were really relaxing and beautiful. This place is really...
