My family had a very nice time staying at Blue Waters Calatagan. The house, which is just a few minutes away from the beach, is perfect for big families, like mine. The place is also just a two-minute car ride to Aquaria. Location is good, very quiet at night. ||||The place is still new, each of the rooms is very spacious and has its own toilet. There's a wooden swing in the porch area. There's a sitting area on the second floor and on the third floor that's perfect for inuman or bonding sessions with friends or family. What I like the best is the garden. It is where the pool is located. The place has an adult and kiddie pool and it has a working jacuzzi. You just have to ask Kuya Michael, the caretaker, to turn the bubbles on. The garden has a sitting area also and an open dining area with a pool table, day bed and tables and chairs. We loved eating our meals in the open dining area while watching the kids and kids-at-heart enjoy the pool. The sitting area under the Talisay tree was also a hit for my family.||||Reserving the place is easy. Bank transfer of 50% is needed to reserve the place. The owners of the place replies to all my queries adequately. Sometimes they do not answer instantly but they made it a point to answer all my questions.||||We reserved the whole place for exclusive use of my family but they also allow per room accommodations. Unlike hotel type accommodation, they do not offer food and they don't have a restaurant but bringing of food and cooking is allowed. They even provide kitchen and dining utensils, free LPG cooking ranges, free charcoal for grilling and free drinking water. They also offer beer and softdrinks for a fee.||||My only minor comment is the AC on some rooms are old, thus making it difficult to cool a big room.||||There's not much to do in the beach area. The beach was not dirty but there's a lot of dried seagrasses on the sand. The sand is whitish but there are a lot of broken seashells around so its better to wear aquashoes. There's a breakwater pavement from the shore to about 500 meters that you can walk on but it's slippery. At the end of breakwater is a good snorkeling site. Water is up to chest level only.||||Check in time is strict at 2pm to allow cleaning in between guests.||||Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Blue...

Read moreThe place was well-maintained, the rooms were spacious and our exclusive use of the place allowed for a fun-filled overnight stay. The beach was disappointing though. We were expecting clean shorelines as shown in the Gallery picture but that was not the case. I am not sure if this is because of the season and the "habagat" but it didn't look like the seaweed and piled up dried vegetation and fish pen boundaries were recent additions to the shoreline just outside the access gate.|| The other amenities of the place though were great --- the pools, jacuzzi, activity center. For big groups, you don't need to bring big pots and pans because they have many sizes. They even have 3 sizes of rice cookers! There is no shortage of burners (there are 3 2-burner stoves), grill with charcoal, 2 dispensers, toaster, many plates, mugs and utensils. So, you can really just go there without bringing too much extra stuff. We rented a karaoke machine and many enjoyed singing their hearts out.|| The next morning, some decided to walk a distance and discovered the cleaner stretch of that beach. Others played basketball in a nearby court.|| One irritant was the presence of flies who wanted to share our breakfast and early lunch ... but this was because I observed too late that there were anti-insect (repellant) violet light fixtures available. || If you want peace and quiet and family/company bonding without the usual distractions of wifi & television, this will be most appropriate... comfortable, clean, cool and spacious. The caretaker (Michael) was also very responsive to our queries and simple requests.|| Another plus and worth mentioning here is "Kusina ni Ram" -- we bought pancit canton bilaos from them and those were yummy. I learned that they can also cater if guests of Blue Waters would wish that...
