Ludy's Pension House — Hotel in Carles

My experience at Ludy's Pension House 2 had its positives and negatives. The owners were accommodating and provided good service, such as offering a convenient pickup and an upgrade to a nicer room. The location was also convenient for tour activities.||||However, my concern about security should be addressed. My fault that I leave extra cash in my bag and later discovered it missing (open area). Despite requesting CCTV footage, the response I've received was not satisfactory, as they claimed nothing was found after asking them for a week and did not provide a copy of the recording upon my request.||||While the pension house has many positives, including comfort and convenience, the issue of security needs improvement. It's essential for businesses like Ludy's to prioritize the security of their guests' belongings, especially when incidents like theft occur. My wife and I showed up in Carles around 6:00pm after riding the bus from Iloilo. Our plan was to take a Gigantes Island day tour from Bancal port the next day, but we had not secured any lodging yet. Luckily a trike driver at the Ceres bus station knew about Ludy's Pension House 2 so he took us there immediately. The manager is named Leo and he checked us in upon arrival. The room was 1,200 PHP per night and it had good A/C. Bathroom was Filipino style with no separation between shower and toilet. Shower didn't have any hot water but that was ok for the price. I booked a room for an overnight stay on April 10 as we have a tour in Gigantes the next day ( which was cancelled because of the typhoon). I was expecting to stay at the real Ludy's Pension house but we were asked to stay in another building. The manager or owner did not read the message that i booked a room for 2 beds when she gave me the price for the room. She gave us one small room with 1 bed. I was told that i will have to pay more for 2 beds.|I was expecting an Ilonggo hospitality as they claimed. But there is no homey feeling in this place. No water dispenser to drink hot or cold water.
