Unwelcoming Attitude Diminishes Guest Experience at Fazenda de Faburada Ecofarm and Mountain Resort

Rating: 1/5

My recent visit to Fazenda (January 31,2024) was marred by an unwelcoming attitude and rigid policies that left me feeling like an outsider after officially checking out. Despite the resort's picturesque surroundings and promising amenities, the dismissive treatment from the staff significantly tarnished the overall experience.

Upon checking out on a leisurely weekend and holiday, I had hoped to extend my stay within the communal areas of the resort for a brief period to unwind and enjoy the facilities. Despite this, I was abruptly asked to vacate the premises, even after explaining that I was simply unwinding in the restaurant/lobby area, engaging in a board game, and ordering refreshments. This unwelcoming attitude made me feel undervalued as a guest and ultimately overshadowed any positive aspects of the resort.

The staff's inflexible approach and apparent lack of empathy towards guests' reasonable requests greatly detracted from the overall experience. Such treatment is unacceptable in a hospitality industry where guest satisfaction should be paramount. As a result, I cannot recommend this resort to others due to its unwelcoming attitude and dismissive treatment of guests after check-out.

In conclusion, while the resort may offer attractive amenities, the unwelcoming attitude exhibited by the staff diminishes the guest experience and undermines the resort's reputation. I hope that the management will take this feedback seriously and implement changes to foster a more welcoming and accommodating environment for all guests. Until then, I advise potential visitors to consider alternative options where they can truly feel valued and respected during their stay.

Good day, As mentioned above, this is a PERSONAL review. Not a review as a group. Please stop bringing up reviews of other people.

Yes I stayed with my family last January 2024. Does it matter when I write my review?

I didn’t go back to the resort. I was not part of that group who came back.

Please only mention things I reviewed about. Those deleted comments by “my peers” are not my sentiments.

“The accusation that they were screaming from 7:45-10am was unfounded as per CCTV footage. But we apologize if their smiles or greetings fell short of expectations.”

= Do you have a CCTV in your authorized personnel room near the restroom? Please check that. The manager was screaming at the employees. I don’t mind them not greeting and smiling at me. But they were very noisy and disturbing.

“ 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗖𝗧𝗩. This is a serious security violation but we overlooked this too. I𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲-𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗼𝘂𝘁 and getting mad at the refusal. And still checked out late anyway.”

= Nope. Never happened. You can even see us waving at the cctv at night so that you know we are still there. I am troubled to receive this malicious and fabricated accusation from you. I never insisted on late check out. We cleaned up right away when your manager asked us to clean away our board games at 10:50.

“ Our staff will clean the resort after check-out to prepare for the incoming guests. We will never ask our guests to clean up their mess. This makes the accusation of being “kicked out” and “asked to clean” hard to believe. ”

= Yes that’s true. It was also hard to believe that your manager said that to us. Please ask your manager about it. Just because is it hard to believe it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

=PLEASE do not bring up things that happened during a time I did not even go there. I do not have any knowledge about what happened last March 31st. My review is based on my experience last...

Since my parent’s retirement, it was our first time to have a family outing together. My brother suggested this place. We were very excited but that excitement disappeared the moment we arrived. First, the pictures posted and how it looked in reality was very far. The price range of the place made it seem so fancy but it just looked.. different.. Also, we woke up early to work. From 7am - 10:45 am the staffs were screaming and fighting each other. I tried to stare at them hoping they would stop but nope. Just kept going.. It was disturbing and unprofessional.

But the cherry on top was when they made us clean the table out (restaurant table) while we were eating and playing games because there MIGHT be a customer who will come soon.

Our check out was at 11am. In my understanding that is just the room but technically we are still guests. From 11am, even if you paid a big amount of money, they will discard you and treat you like an outsider while waiting for customers who might come.

The redeeming thing is that this resort is pet friendly. The rooms were also clean and big. Honestly, there’s so much potential in this place but the manager’s lack of training ruins that.

The reception was already unfriendly. The bungalow was relatively poorly equipped, the remote control for the air conditioning was faulty, low water pressure in the shower, no pool towels, no toiletries apart from a microscopic bar of soap. The view of the countryside was beautiful, but we had already enjoyed it extensively on our three-hour drive from Dalaguete. The grilled fish was killed twice, once by the fisherman's hand and once by its stay in the freezer for several months. The vegetable soup tasted of nothing, actually, just like the fish, inedible. We were not asked for drinks and the water, which we were allowed to fetch ourselves from a dispenser, was a good 30° warm. There were no other guests, the musicless dinner, bathed in the glaring light of the CCTV, gave the impression of a graveyard - completely desolate. We were charged 1200 pesos for this outrage. The impression of poor gastronomic service continued seamlessly at breakfast and culminated in the impertinence of wanting to charge 50 pesos for a second cup of coffee. We had booked for three nights and paid 21.1 Kpesos. I've never had worse value for money in seven months in the Philippines! After the first night, we packed our bags and left the resort. I will refrain from praising the beautiful pool or the great view due to the miserable overall performance. No...

I recently visited Fazenda De Faburada Ecofarm and Resort, and it was a truly refreshing experience. As one of the first resorts nestled in Ronda, Cebu, Fazenda offers breathtaking natural views, creating a serene backdrop for relaxation. You can grab a drink from the bar, lay by the poolside, and just chill! The pool is not just inviting but also provides a perfect spot to unwind. What sets this place apart is its immersive experience of provincial life. From the rustic and brutalist charm of the surroundings to the warm hospitality, Fazenda provides a genuine taste of local living. The journey from Cebu City, though 2 to 3 hours, is well worth it, as it adds to the anticipation and excitement. For those in search of a getaway that seamlessly combines stunning natural beauty, a delightful pool, an authentic provincial experience, and staff who go above and beyond, Fazenda De Faburada is the ideal destination.
