Pros: Good Value
Large pool
Restaurant on site - regular day shift cook was excellent
Mostly friendly staff but do not like to be asked questions.
Cons: There is one semi concrete/chunks of concrete, gravel and dirt road to get to resort. The end from main road is full of pot holes. The locals fill the holes on a regular basis with coral but it is a constant work in progress. The other end (if you are luck enough to find it) is by Hagnaya Pier, same road type material with pot holes but much shorter route and nicer views until you get to the local community housing the road runs through.
Restaurant is an "open air" restaurant so expect lots of flies in the day and mosquitoes at night, along with the sulfur smell of the mud flat at low tide. Night shift cook over salts everything, when it is cooked. The daytime cook is much better fare so be sure to eat before 1:30pm. Weekend they try to use a buffet and will tell you there is no room service, but the buffet is stone cold at 9am. so we always order from the menu..you have to ask what is available on the menu and just because it says Club Sandwich it is more like fried egg, ham and lettuce tomato sandwich.
No cell service in room. You can get service outside of room.
No internet in any of the rooms. It is available in the front receptionist area and they have it in the restaurant but will only provide you the password for front area. So basically the staff has internet (who is constantly on it), but not the paying customers.
"Beach" is mostly a mud flat at low tide It has a pier which is used for local fishermen to tie up their fish nets to
Pool sticks are not maintained regularly - no tips
We were moved 2 times due to maintenance issues with room and was asked to move a third time, but we were tired of packing and packing. Asked for a discount on room service bill. Was told only Management could authorize who never got back to us.
It is one of the better resorts on that end of the island, but like most of the other resorts, they are over staffed and do not maintain the site except what is of a critical nature....landscaping,...
Read moreThe room is clean. It smells good. But the phone is not working.
The area was huge and spacious. It is relaxing in the park beside the restaurant. If you are just looking for a pool, then pool is nice. You/ Your kids would enjoy. Unfortunately if you are a beach person this area is not for you. The beach is muddy and dirty.
They are pet friendly.
In the evening around 8:30 P.M. after a long day we wanted a massage. The phone in our room is NOT WORKING, useless. Thus we had to go out and ask or find a staff to inquire. In front of our room was the restaurant and there we asked an employee told them the phone in the room is not working and if they could help call the front desk with our concern because the area is big. a call to the front desk would be a great help. They said they will do so and so we stand by in our room. We did wait but it was already 9:30-10 pm, we look and saw the restaurant's lights are off and they are closed. Nobody came :( We let it go and just sleep.
The next morning, accidentally the glass broke and shattered to to the floor and again we reached out to the staff at the restaurant since the phone is not working, they said they would come. We waited about 3-5 minutes until I could not anymore and I walked outside and saw someone swiping the dried leaves. It was him who helped us. By the way nobody came, nor help from the restaurant or nobody called from the restaurant to address the situation.
We had a free breakfast at the restaurant but our parents are senior citizens and having a hard time to walk they stayed in the room. We ask if it is possible to bring the food to the accommodation. They are considerate and thoughtful enough to prepare the plates full of food and wrapped it.
-During this visit there is an ongoing project, they said an additional...
Read moreyou have to pass an awkward neighborhood to get to the resort. The long travel from the North Bus Terminal wasn't worth it. The road to the resort is not really good so you have to bear with the bumps while riding a tricycle. Frontdesk will tell you to dial zero on your in-room phone when you need something but their phones aren't even connected. Their "hot and cold" shower aren't even working so we opted to use the faucet and used a dipper in taking a bath. When you go complain they'll tell you they'll send their staff to check your room but no one will. you go back to complain they'll give you their calling card and suggest to text/call them if you need something but when you do, no one will answer. Frontdesk will tell you that you can opt to avail their buffet for dinner when you don't even have an option. When you go to the restaurant, they'll tell you that they can only serve dishes which are in their buffet so the menu they place in every room are useless. You would be told to avail the buffet instead since you'll be paying around the same price. They advertise they the rooms has wireless internet connection but it isn't true. Wi-Fi is in the concierge area but you can't even connect. So we had to use our own data connection . We had a hard time cause it was difficult to get signal in the area. Their beach, despite being called a "beach resort" is not usable. So, we decided to make use of their pool instead which opens at 8AM and closes 10PM. Everything...
