Busuanga Island Paradise — Hotel in Coron

I really liked this place. I may have even given it a 5 star rating if it weren't for a few things. The resort is very clean, quiet and relaxing. I was very impressed by how clean the bathrooms were. The complimentary breakfast was really good! The staff was friendly and accommodating. All was well until the last day. I work in the service industry so I'm very aware of what it's like to give service and how important customer service is to a business.

On our last day check out was at 1:00 pm. At exactly 1:00 our wifi was shut off and the water in our rooms were also shut off. There was 11 of us so we had 3 rooms. We were all ready to leave and we're doing some last minute checks to make sure nothing was left behind. At 1:00 pm a person dressed in a security uniform stood without a word and watched us, along with housekeeping for each rooms. They stood there and watched us getting ready to leave as if we had out stayed our welcome. It was so off putting! I mean a security guard to escort us out?! They couldn't wait to shut things off till after we were gone?! It was the most awkward and uncomfortable situation. Had that not happened I would have gladly given a higher rating.

Word of advice, don't treat your paying guest like they are being rushed out. I can understand if we were late. We were not! We were also traveling with my 80 year old grandmother who has a hard time walking. I loved Palawan and all the beautiful places we visited there. Excellente! Very friendly staff, especially Jen. We basically had the place to ourselves. We dined in quiet solitude. The kitchen staff basically brought our food and let us be. Shy when we wanted to have pictures. Food was great, too. We booked an all-inclusive package with diving, city tour and island hopping, all of which was private. I think if there were more people in the resort, we would have had more people, but it felt so intimate. On our island hopping tour there were two of us and two crew plus Albert, from the resort. Albert helped my wife snorkel-she's not a good swimmer, but he tugged her by life ring on a personal tour at 4 different sites. Diving there was me and another diver plus two crew. Beautiful place. After spending some nights in the hectic of Coron town I was more than happy to find this nice resort. It is located about half way between Coron town and the airport and it offeres a free shuttel to and from Coron town. The resort kindly sent its free shuttle after I gave them a call. The place was very tranquile, green and peaceful. A nice pool is placed in the middle. The food I had was good. My room I had was spacious and comfortable. The buildings here are not brand new but well maintained.
