So I’ll start off this review by saying the staff truly try to go above and beyond with service and setting the right expectations and they were ALWAYS on time. The staff was amazing! I truly wish I could give them 5 stars but there were a few things that if addressed would make it 5 stars for me. We stayed in the bamboo hut for 2 nights. So it may be different for the other villas. First I’ll start off by saying you’re on the actual coron island and 5 feet from your bed is the water which is pretty cool. So for the location and experience 5/5 The food is reasonably priced compared to what you’re paying from the main island. We had some good dishes and some not so good. The black ink pasta was actually pretty good, the crepes with just marmalade was not it. The fresh mango juice was also really good. The double check your orders and ask that you order the night before and coordinate with you when you’ll be eating, if you decide to eat sooner than planned they accommodate it which was really nice. So for food and service 4/5 (only because we had some not so tasty dishes). The room was what was lacking. It was clean, we did find a baby cockroach in the bathroom that we killed but they do have cockroach killer traps in the room. They set up mosquitos nets for us (ours had some small holes. The bathroom was easy to navigate. The shower and the lounge chairs outside the room was a nice touch and it was nice that we could eat all our meals there. There is a table to eat at. Now what made the experience start to go downhill was because of how hot it was at night. It was near impossible for us to sleep. This room had 1 ceiling fan, 1 big fan, 1 small fan, and 1 that didn’t really work, (they were nice and switched out the broken one on our second night). Even with all these fans going I couldn’t sleep, it is SO hot. They have AC but they charge you about $60 just for 9 hours of AC. It made me disappointed because if I’m paying that much for a room the LEAST it could have is AC. Like I’m paying a lot of money, I should be able to sleep comfortably. So for room quality 3/5. You can tell this place had a lot of thought put into it to be environmentally friendly and take into thought the local tribe. They have thought of everything there, they provide tours, have a phone for you to use in your gut for anything you need, laundry service, kayaks, paddle boards. They put a lot of thought into it. The bone I have to pick with management is that there wasn’t/isn’t too much concern for the box jellyfish that come at night. Now I know they are a little different from the ones in Australia but still. From what I read online they’ve only had 2 accidents and no ones died here. They also warn you saying jellyfish come at night and if you let them know they will relocate them. Well our first and second night when they brought us dinner we showed them and they did not relocate them. I would’ve expected a little more urgency or precautions given with how bad these jellyfish can sting you. I can see people going for a night swim because of how hot it is and then getting stung because of how lax they are about them. So there that. They also left us a survey of what they can do better which we appreciate. We left our reviews and by the time they picked us up to go back to the main restaurant for our final check out. The guy in charge there a Romanian guy, had already read it all and was giving excuses for all the feedback we left, like why leave feedback if you’re just going to start questioning us. Just left us with kind of a weird vibe. Besides him all of the Filipino staff were SO friendly and kind. This review isn’t meant to stop you from going but just a head up of how hot it can be (we came in May, maybe a hotter month), and the potential safety issues around the box jellyfish we saw that scared us too much to go back into the water.

Life changing experience, my life forever changes during the stay, once in our life we become focused on being on the track of life and lose ourselves in between on how fast life is. But the stay i had in paolyn is a retreat a detox, a connection to mother nature, the only accommodation that gives you security, peace, serenity that could meet all your needs in a very remote island making you at the utmost comfortable. It is a private experience that was been open to guest, a beautiful paradise that was helping indigent people to take care of of their families. That is ready to serve at all your needs smiling all the way. I live in the island for quite sometime so i could say that they serve one of the best food in coron more than you can have in town, so the price for the great Italian food is reasonable for the preparation, location and scenery. Also they ask for your food choices so they can buy it ahead of time ensuring the quality and safety specially its a floating restaurant, they have dishes that you could choose from filipino and itailan, not a much of a menu and not limited also since they ensure the guest have choices and they make sure it is fresh. they have two restaurants a main where they greet the guest, and let the guest enjoy kayaking, paddling and swimming around the area they also have lifeguard in the restaurant to ensure the safety specially when kids are enjoying, and parents are relaxing or dining in, in this main restaurant you can have a chance to see paolo which he is most of time present in the area and there is also one private restaurant with chef and waitress. Its very fascinating to wake up in the beautiful scene that only look like in the movie, if that is a reality well here it is, unfiltered, experienced. Waking up with the sounds of birds chirping, fishes that is very visible underneath the houseboat, school of fishes and a chance to see a monkey in the limestone. It depends what room you have but i have a big and spacecious room, very comfortable with a private kubo (nipa hut with dining filipino style which i can have my meals) and a sunbeds accesible to jump into the lagoon. My bathroom has a hot and cold shower with a bio-degradable shampoo and bath soap i have two sink big mirrors, a window who have a view of a blue lagoon and a marine toilet. The energy is from a solar panel, and they have fresh water to bath and use. The waste water was in a tank that has a timely schedule to drain. They make sure no dirty or harmful waste goes in the beautiful lagoon.. The Transportation has schedule which time of pick up and drop off you. You can ask them to go to town also but who will want to live this paradise when you have all your needs here already? The transfer between restaurants and your room, you will have private speedboats dropping you by. Ofcourse it may not be for everyone, some might say it maybe a expensive experience, some might find faults. But this place is a one person built with the help of willing to learn indigenous people which is tribe (tagbanua), with a dreams of helping alot indigent people, giving jobs to many locals. They are 4 cats in the houseboat, which i find out that the owner paolo made the first (non profit animal rescue center in the in town of coron which they rescue the need of medical health and abandoned animals) he is very kind hearted with animals and a awesome person. This is place will always have a big place in my heart, a truly paradise, warm people, smiling people. In the time of my stay here i felt in peace, reflecting in my life the beauty of the nature a simple things in life that we shouldnt take of granted, the kindness of the people staffs and paolo that is very warmth to talk and the hospitality.

A Dreamy Escape at Paolyn Houseboat Resort From the moment we set foot on the Paolyn Houseboat Resort in Coron, Palawan, it was clear that this was going to be a one-of-a-kind experience. Our stay was nothing short of magical, and I’m thrilled to share how Paolyn Houseboat Resort made our vacation unforgettable. (Honestly, no need to go on tours, because this place summarizes everything you need to see in Coron.) We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights and still, it felt short! We stayed during the Habagat season, but it did not hinder our experience in the slightest. Location: 5/5 The houseboat is situated on a stunning lake, surrounded limestone formations and crystal-clear waters. The scenery is nothing short of breathtaking, It’s a perfect blend of nature’s beauty and luxury. Accommodations: 5/5 The houseboat itself is an architectural marvel. It's comfortable with a cozy, nautical charm. Sleeping on the water, and waking up to the sounds of nature was a unique and delightful experience. In the morning, you can simply jump straight into the water with no care in the world! They also have fast Starlink Wi-Fi, so you won’t have to worry about connectivity issues. This works both for mobile signal and data. Service: 5/5 The hospitality at Paolyn Houseboat Resort is exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. They were not only incredibly friendly but also impressively efficient, always greeting us with a smile and swiftly providing everything we needed. Dining: 5/5. The meals were very delicious, they have a mix of Filipino food and Italian cuisine! (Their owner is Italian so you can expect top notch pasta!) The portions were generous, and we enjoyed several of their dishes. (especially their ginataang kalabasa, shout out to the chef!). The dining area offered spectacular views of the lake, enhancing the dining experience once again. Activities: 5/5 The resort offers a range of activities. They provided snorkeling gear, kayaks, paddleboards, etc. We enjoyed kayaking through the tranquil waters, exploring nearby small beach, and snorkeling in vibrant coral reefs teeming with fishes! You can even go to Twin Lagoon, but honestly, the place itself was already breathtaking, there’s really no need to leave!! Overall Experience: 5/5--100 starts if possible Paolyn Houseboat Resort is a true gem in Palawan, From the service to the food. Everything was spectacular. The staff, many of whom are from the Tagbanua tribe, are incredibly welcoming and friendly—offering hospitality, if not surpasses, that of even the best establishments in Manila. The owners, Paolo and his wife, not only provide a unique and luxurious experience but also contribute to the livelihood of hundreds of people from the tribe. Every penny spent here supports a thriving community. It’s the perfect destination for anyone looking to escape the hustle of everyday life and immerse themselves in a picturesque setting. Shout out to the awesome friendliest manager Miks, ate Shane, see you again soon, and to the friendliest staff, from the ates and kuyas in the restaurant, the chef, the very attentive and helpful housekeeping! Paolyn Houseboat Resort will exceed your expectations and leave you with memories to cherish for a lifetime. Highly recommended. The only downside is having to leave and go back to reality. :(

The beauty of our stay at Paolyn Houseboats is hard to put into words—it was truly a magical, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Being anchored right in the heart of Coron's stunning lagoons felt like a dream. We weren't just visiting a beautiful place; we were living in it.||From the moment the speedboat dropped us off, we were in awe. Towering limestone cliffs, lush green trees, and the calm, crystal-clear water of the lagoon surrounded us on every side. There's no buzzing city, no traffic, just the gentle lapping of the water and the sounds of nature. It's a surreal feeling to be so connected to the environment, and the floating accommodations are a unique way to experience it all.||Our days were filled with simple, perfect moments. We'd wake up to a sunrise painting the sky over the cliffs, and with a short paddle in one of the provided kayaks, we were exploring the nearby lagoons before anyone else arrived. Snorkeling right off our own deck was a highlight, as we were able to discover vibrant coral reefs and incredible marine life just a few feet away.||The evenings were just as memorable. We'd sit on our private deck, watching the sunset cast a fiery glow over the water, and then look up to a sky full of a million stars you could never see in the city. We had such a special and memorable stay! I can't rave enough about this wonderful place. From the moment I first contacted them through WhatsApp, they were incredibly friendly and helpful. Everything is well-planned and coordinated for you. Upon arrival, there is a welcome drink waiting for you at the restaurant in a most beautiful setting. We loved the little kitties at the restaurant :) We loved that we were able to arrive early when our flight landed so we could start enjoying this wonderful place as soon as possible. We enjoyed a delicious lunch, and then headed to our room.

We stayed in the mini houseboat. Although the room itself is quite small, it is very thoughtfully designed to maximize use of the space, with plenty of storage area, and also lots places to hang items to dry. You also get your own outdoor living space, with lounge chairs to relax on, and a great private dining area, surrounded by the beauty of the lagoon. Again, there is very thoughtful design, where even though there are other rooms right by us, there was still a great feeling of privacy.

We loved the eco friendly design of the houseboats, running on solar power, ensuring waste water is not released into the lagoon, and even the eco friendly soap and shampoo provided in the shower. We were even advised that the valve to our outdoor shower was closed since bees were coming around looking for fresh water (we were able to turn this on when we needed to use it), and that containers of fresh water were regularly being placed on the nearby limestone rocks to supply water for the bees. It occurred to me that many resorts might see the bees as pests and try to dispatch them to deal with such a situation, so it pleased us greatly that Paolyn chose this much better solution where guests and bees are both happy!

This stay is so special, because guests of Paolyn are the only people who can stay "on" Coron, with the lagoon and restaurant only open to guests. It is truly a little paradise! Each guest is given snorkel gear to use, and a private kayak that can be used to explore the area and access Twin Lagoon early morning and late afternoon when you can enjoy it by yourself. There is excellent snorkeling right outside of your room!

We took 2 private half day tours during our stay, and I highly recommend these. My husband and I had our own speedboat to take us to all of the breathtaking sites, and amazing snorkeling, which you get to enjoy early before the big crowds arrive. All of the food we enjoyed during our stay was delicious and very plentiful! There was a wide range of dishes and beverages to choose from. You order your meals ahead of time, since ingredients must be brought from the main island, and you are also asked if you would like to enjoy your meals at the restaurant or in your private dining area, and at what time. We ate all of our meals at our room, and loved that we had this option! We were also very impressed with how promptly the meals arrived at the time we requested.

We loved the cell phone that was provided with our room as a means of easy and fast communication with both the front desk and the restaurant. Anything you could need or want, you only need to message them on the phone and you will receive fast and friendly assistance. We were even able to send out some laundry we had to be done the very next day for a great price. Also, the wifi in our room was great!

We loved everything about our stay here! Yes, it is on the pricier side of accommodations in the Philippines, but it is worth every penny! And for all that is included, and what a special stay this is, I think it is actually good value for your money. The prices for tours and food were also quite reasonable. We highly recommend Paolyn Houseboats for extraordinary...
