I have to say we had very mixed feelings about this resort. On the first hand the island is very beautiful with an incredible coral garden right in front of the beach. It is easy to go diving on a multitude of wrecks and good thing is You can save a lot of time by doing this. The view from the bar and from the cabins is excellent and also it`s very peaceful there. Btw. on the island lives very lovely and friendly dog who made our day on several occasions. But there is a big BUT as well.....

Unfortunately the value for money and the level of service are not matching at all (and we have traveled a lot in the South Asia and visited numerous resorts) and for that money you usually get just so much more. Some of the marks like some of the other customers have noticed: wifi does not work at all; for everything You need to pay extra: kayak, flippers, mask and snorkel, the cabins are in average conditions: bathroom is outdated, mosquito nets are in poor condition, food was actually very random and not well seasoned at all, also amount of the food (especially fruits) was limited, 3% fee when paying by credit card although knowing that payment must be made on site, we had a feeling that mainly teenagers worked on the island and although they were friendly they behaved more like they are in the their summer camp not like customer service people of the resort. But do not get me wrong, it`s not definitely so much their fault but more like a problem of poor management, when we were leaving they even wanted to charged some kind of hospitality tax although on the Booking website the price includes all the taxes as well. We were just lucky that we noticed it!

Overall, I would recommend to take everything they offer with grain of salt because customer service, food, accommodation, the level of how much diving "department" care about customer needs and etc. are not on the level of the money they ask and the price You pay probably may not be met with Your expectations of the services.

Shame to say but it is really more like a simple diving complex with a great view, peaceful atmosphere and cute doggy but definitely...

So we booked at the resort for 3 nights Check in 1st June 2018 Check out was 4th June 2018 Total was PHP23,880 ( this is just for the stay )

VILLA NAME - guava The villa is made in bamboo No air conditioning Only table fans Door is the only source of ventilation Tiles are polished so it’s slipery when getting in and out of the room each and every time. Room is always moist full of lizards and insects, no space for keeping 2 suit cases had to be kept on wet floor which never dries due to the moisture in the room. No HOT WATER

MEALS ( were charged Seprately per person approx PHP 2500 per day ) Horrible meals 🤮🤮🤢🤢❌❌ Food was low budget This is the only option at the resort. ( buffet ) 🤮🙈

STAFF ( everyday schedule of the staff ) After 7pm reception CLOSED, staff member all gone there is NO ONE to attend if you are facing any problem or need help ( it’s like a dead 💀 island ) (Female Manager) we Requested her we want to go back on our second night. We got our night refund. We left the place earlier from what we had planned because of these issues. INFORMED HER IN ADVANCE about our early morning flights When we came at the reception at 6pm Manager is still sleeping 💤 😴 and reception was closed ( then she comes down from her bedroom which is above the reception in full panic mode😅 yawning ) They really need to improvise on their front desk management.

Private boat hire ( worst experience) 6000PHP ( for the boat ) + 2000 PHP for all the island hopping spots Boat which was given to us dint have the safety net which all the other tourist boat had. I lost my phone and then realised the safety net on the side of the boat under the seating bench were missing. 😭

Only thing I like about this place was the diving instructor 👨‍🏫 amazing person Had fun diving in his presence I would not RECOMMEND to stay at this place as there are many other options in coron which would give a comfortable stay in the same or little more price. We left early from this place ( stayed for 2 nites ) Our next stay was at the...

Eccoci!

Paradise. On. Earth. I am captivated by the experience of staying a week on this magical island. I had not been to Coron Bay in 10 years, and let me tell you, I did my research before choosing a dive resort that offered a truly ideal “base” to make the most of diving the wrecks and reefs of Coron Bay. Sangat island is a pristine sanctuary that is truly a world away from anything else. It’s like being in a Jules Verne novel. The property is the essence of a South Pacific island resort with an impressively well run dive operation. Everything about this place steals your heart and fills your spirit. The staff are extremely welcoming, exuberant, and joyful. The main building, which serves as the dining room, bar, and recreation area is vibrant and creates a perfect sense of community after a day exploring the reefs and wrecks. Perfect for meeting divers from all over the world. The “island bar” is a fantasy come to life - I couldn’t imagine a better place to enjoy cocktail hour. The bungalow I stayed in was directly on the beach - to hear the gentle waves on the sand at night was just phenomenal. I can’t imagine the logistics of maintaining and operating a resort like this on an island that is so isolated - but I am so thoroughly impressed with what the staff accomplishes every day. My bungalow was immaculately clean, plenty of fresh drinking water, every meal was memorable, and the dive shop really had the routine perfected. Sangat island is the kind of place you could just stay forever and let time disappear. Do yourself a favor and experience it for yourself. You simply can’t go wrong.

Had one of the best vacations of my life here. The location's absolutely perfect for anyone looking to get away from the bright lights and cacophony of cities and/or explore some of the most beautiful corals there is. If diving is more your thing, that's what they do best; you get to explore shipwrecks (Japanese, I believe) from WWII only a short boat ride away from the resort. I was more interested in getting as far away from people as possible and doing some snorkeling, and boy, I struck gold! Next, the staff... I can't say anything more than 'amazing!' From the moment I got picked up and then dropped off after my stay, everyone had a smile on their face and was always standing by to assist. They were very jovial and pleasant (I think it's also part of the culture in the Philippines). Special thanks to Jennifer, Anna, Shiela, Heart, Stephanie, MJ, Irving, and Merio. All truly wonderful people. Pro tip: if you're staying at one of the ocean-view rooms next to the balete tree, you may need some earplugs at night cause the bats are constantly at each other's throats! Other that that, though, my entire experience was perfect! Can't wait to come back and resume my hunt for the elusive turtle (spent 3 days snorkeling, hoping to catch a glimpse). If it isn't already obvious, I definitely recommend staying at Sangat if you're looking for a truly unforgettable holiday experience.

Everything was wonderful about our stay at Sangat! The staff was so welcoming and helpful, even going out of their way to celebrate our anniversary! We loved trying the different foods, and everything was always delicious! I am a picky eater and always left eating more than I should have! The resort is absolutely beautiful and completely environmentally friendly, which was neat to see how how it all worked on a little tour behind the scenes. It was nice to have time to ourselves on many parts of the island, but we really enjoyed meeting up with others in the dining and bar areas, especially at happy hour! I had been nervous to stay here because I'm not a fan of bugs, but that was luckily never an issue! The sand is soft and the water is clear with beautiful corals all over! We enjoyed the kayak to the hidden hot springs and viewing the limestone cliffs and corals along the way! My husband was able to do some diving and I was able to relax on the beach! We also loved trying to spot the cheeky monkeys (never felt threatened or too close to them in any way). This was probably our favorite place we stayed at during our entire trip to the Philippines! It's complete paradise!
