Jeamco Royal Hotel Inc., ( NOVO HOTEL ) — Hotel in Cotabato City

Room reservation information were messed up.

Payment is cash only.

The room is dimly lit.

The place is creepy.

The split type air conditioner is working.

The room has no window to the street.

WiFi is free but slow.

Cable TV does not have a proper connector to plug to the wall outlet.

There were small cockroaches roaming around the room and bathroom floors and walls.

Some of the towel have some stain marks.

I stepped onto about 10 cockroaches within a 18-hour span.

Maybe there is no sanitary inspectors in the city hall.

Some floor and wall tiles are broken or not attached properly.

There are stains and the paint is peeling off the ceiling.

Water for the bath is only available for a limited time past 7PM.

There is no bottled water for drinking inside the room.

There is no restaurant in the hotel.

There is one fast food chain across the hotel.

Novo supermarket at the ground floor beside the hotel closes around 6PM.

It took almost a one-kilometer walk on a dimly lit road to a local restaurant that was still open to...

This place is a big red flag. The word "Royal" is really pushing it. We arrived there pretty late (around 7:30 PM), and found out that there was no running water. We asked the concierge what time will it come back, and they told us "I don't know, ask them [other staff]".

Cockroaches are amok, the towels provided we're not even cleaned properly, the airconditioner needs to be turned on/off through the breaker switch, there was no way to lower or raise the temperature, and the staff was laughing so hard that we can hear them outside. The entrance going into the hotel was pretty unsightly as well. Sewage was flowing, and there were a lot of trash strewn about.

We woke up around 4:00 AM and found out that there was no running water. We ended up using the bottled water that we bought the yesterday to clean ourselves at the very least.

Rooms 2/5 - below acceptable cleanliness. On the CR alone, there will be 3-5 small cockroaches running around.
