Nathaniel Hotel — Hotel in Daet

Last year we stayed here and had a good time, except for the 3 roomservice calls at 3am which we didn’t ordered!|This year our reservation was confirmed but on our arrival they had our name not in the system. After the 2nd day I spotted a tiny (5mm) hole in the polystyreen foam next to the A/C. It was punched from outside to inside. The little ball was hanging on next to the hole. I was not alarmed at all but had my thoughts that maybe someone likes to watch and put the little piece back in the hole. After we arrived in the evening back I looked at the hole and the little piece was gone. This can not be a coincidence that by accident a foreign object punched twice at the exect same location. This time I put a bigger piece of paper in the hole. Next evening the paper was on the ground. Now I was sure that someone is watching us. This hole was in straight view of the bed. Sick people in this world! Now that I was sure I told reception but the owner was not in and spoke to his sister. She checked my complain and told me that it could have been another guest. That makes me so mad. First of all the bathroom door had no doorknob and could not be closed and now another guest did this. We didn’t found ourselfs safe in this place anymore. She could not put us in other rooms because it was fully booked. Even if there was rooms available I don’t wanna stay there anymore. She tried to call other hotels for us but it is not easy for 3 rooms at 10pm. But we found our own.|They really have to get their things straight in this hotel. This is the hotel to stay if you are in Daet. For the basic accommodation, the hotel is extremely reasonable priced. But the thing to shout for is the exceptional service. The hotel staff was very courteous and polite in accommodating to our every needs. ||||I also want to give special thanks to the hotel owner who is coincidentally also a Daet Municipal Counsellor. A man with big heart and helpful spirit, it was only with his help that I managed to repair the damages to my car tires and continue my journey back to Manila.||||I had chanced upon Hotel Nathaniel as the wheels of my car were damaged on the way back from Donsol to Manila. I tried to find repairs at the local vulcanizing shops but could not find similar replacement tyres for my car and had to stayed overnight in Daet. The tow truck service from Standard Insurance 24-hour road-side assistance (very bad & unprofessional service from this insurance company) also failed to turn up leaving us essentially leaving us in own lurch.||||Thankfully the owner recognized that my wheels were damaged and took personal time off to search for vulcanizing shops with the right tires.
