I booked 4 days 3 nights for our Holy week stay. (3750/night exclusive of tax. note : peak season) ||||We checked in at 8pm due to a heavy traffic on the way from Manila. They assigned a room quickly but when we used the toilet, the flush is faulty. We immediately called the staff and she said that there's no technician available. I just requested a transfer of room since we have 3 nights to stay and i dont want to dwell on a faulty flush for how many days. The room has 2 queen sized beds which are comfy enough. Toiletries are available. (Housekeeping staff : Please make sure that the room is perfect for handover during checkin - like toiletries must be complete, lights are functioning and flush is working) ||||The pools are undeniably gorgeous. the slides are exciting. the fountains and kids pool are lovely. the nature is relaxing and the gazebos near Chef mama are perfect for a fresh air. however, may i say i have a list of ||Suggestions/comments for the management: ||1) resorts must have cotton buds included in the toiletries. ||2) slippers must be available (washable is fine, but please sanitize) ||3) pool towels should be available too ||4) staffs are not so polite ||5) once a guest with car check in, provide a big laminated CARD so that the security are notified once this car comes in and out of the facility and we dont have to roll our car windows up & down during exit and entry to the hotel premises. '||6) WIFI signal is terrible, please improve on this. ||7) NO credit card facilities. banks/ATMs are quite a ride from the resort, please UPGRADE your mode of payment. ||8) Vanity mirror outside the toilet. (we are a group of 4. if the toilet is occupied, there's no mirror available. there is a huge space on the walls too, perhaps a frame or a mirror is perfect :) ||9) additional hanger||10) Since Pineapple is a resort, a DRYING RACK is a necessity on each room. please provide :) ||||sorry for the long list. I know i will be back in Pineapple resort because its our province. I am looking forward to make another feedback on this resort and hopefully, BIG changes will happen. ||||Though i have 10 comments, still i will be glad to recommend you and definitely, we will stay again...
Read moreWe literally just slept on it after we arrived from Manila via the Naga airport. Our final destination is the Calaguas Island but we anticipated that we will kiss the boat so we booked a place to spend the night. From Naga we took a van to Daet for 2 hrs and from the terminal we got a tricycle to this resort (P120 for 3 pax with lots of baggage); we arrived here almost midnight and had to leave the following morning around 530am to catch the 6am call time for the trip to Calaguas. The usual meet up place is Jollibee CamNorte. ||When we arrived, there are still 2 personnel waiting for us at the front desk (they already looked sleepy yet they still feel warm and very polite). We had many requests and they accommodated it all happily. We asked for the breakfast to be served around 4.30am, we were only 3 but was placed in a 4pax room so the bfast served was good for 4.. nice :) The dinnjng area was a bit far and its still very early, thus we also requested for the bfast to be served in our room. Exactly 430am they served the bfast in our room, the usual daing with egg and rice -- awesome.||The room is nice, spacious; we were on the 1st floor and we did not see some of the small animals / insects mentioned in the other reviews. The room and whole resort is clean. Bathroom is decent with strong hot water and reliable ac; flat screen tv with cable and sturdy bed. Two security guards are watching the gate which is a bit far from where the pool and rooms are but the whole place seemed peaceful. We did not swim in the pool bec we no longer have the time but my friend said it was big but not clean. ||The place is a bit remote and far from the main road. We asked the trike driver to pick us up the following morning and he too came on time! The trike driver said this resort is a bit far & there are other better places to stay in Daet but maybe not as peaceful and not as big since it is on the city...
Read morePineapple Island is a pretty good place to stay for someone looking for a budget R & R accommodation. There's a large pool area with both a kiddie and an adult pool, lots of picnic tables, a lagoon, an on-site restaurant with very good food, and a playground. The surroundings were cool because of the trees, and quiet because it's a bit far from the city proper. There was also free Wi-Fi, though it was stronger in the pool area than in the rooms.||||There were five of us, so we occupied a room with two double beds and paid for an extra person who had to sleep on a mattress (a flimsy one, at that) on the floor. The room was very clean, the air conditioning worked well, there was cable TV, and they offered complimentary water and coffee. There's no phone, though, so if you need something, you'll have to roam around the resort grounds to find a staffer.||||The bathroom was nice enough. It was clean and there was a hot and cold shower with decent enough water pressure. A few issues I had were that there was just half a glass panel separating the shower from the toilet, so the whole bathroom becomes a water world every time someone takes a bath. Plus there was no exhaust fan and the bathroom window wouldn't open, so crapping had to be done carefully.||||One big concern I had was that there didn't seem to be a manager on the site. The staff was friendly enough, but if we had encountered a serious issue, there wouldn't be anyone for us to talk to. In fact, we hit a snag during check-out; it seemed they needed to confirm our status over the phone with someone before we could settle the final bill and leave. Whether it was the manager or owner, we...
