IAO Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Dapa

They had complimentary airport pick-up. Was not mentioned earlier, only after reaching the hotel, so why are you then telling me it and then on asking if It can be arranged as a drop, directly denied.

There is no window in the rooms, not stated anywhere. Would have planned a different hotel for certain then.

No housekeeping provided, even on asking daily, either they didn't clean at all or they did part of cleaning. Garbage was not removed, and amenities were not replenished.

Kettle was not working, asked it to be fixed or replaced, it never happened at all.

The bathroomoom is too small and attached to the washroom, so when you shower, you have water all on the commode. Cannot have 2 people at the same time in the washroom.

Locked myself out on my last da. Staff are scrambling to find the spare key, in fact, even confirming about other tasks, etc. instead of prioritizing on finding the spare key in a bunch of 100 keys. I got the bunch and picked the keys in less than 30 seconds.

Bed way too small, legs going outside, I'm not very tall, even the duvet covers only half of your body.

New hotel, need to know to manage well, no experience at all. Rating 3 is actually good in comparison to the experience.

This is a small, three-storey boutique hotel that offers basic accommodation ... air-conditioned room with ensuite toilet/shower room with hot and cold water, TV with cable channels, towels, etc. Don't expect over the top amenities. But what do you really expect from a budget accommodation? Some rooms have a window, others do not. Anyway, what is really good about this place is its location. It's right in the center of Dapa, close to the port, restaurants, stores, and so forth. There's a reception desk open twenty-four hours with friendly staff. A water dispenser is available in the hall (just bring your own flask or tumbler). WIFI is provided, but its signal is a bit weak, affecting also the cable channels in the rooms. No parking lot. Breakfast is available upon request, as well as pickup...

Mar 2025: If you're staying in Dapa, the town proper in Siargao, this is the place to stay. It's relatively new and centrally located. However, it has no dining area yet. No work desks even in your room. No amenities like conference rooms, pool or gym, etc. They just have a lobby and the guest rooms. Dapa is not even touristy so don't book here if you expect to visit the beach or lagoons and be a tourist because you'll only end up paying more for transportation.

That said, the staff here are helpful and accommodating. I was here on business so this was convenient. However, Gen. Luna or "GL" is kilometers away and cannot be reached on foot. This hotel is currently the nicest...
