We didn't try the rooms.
We went there primarily for zip-line rides, which are fun and inovative (something new we haven't seen and got to experience: Zipline bicycle ride, Zipline tumbler ride).
The zipline rides are directly across the road from the park entrance itself, are paid separately, and are short, but fun.
There also is a horse ride for children (and adults alike) at same location with the Zipline rides.
However, we ended up taking the guided park rides, which included lunch buffet-style. I think the price per visitor was something like 1500 peso, which is a good deal, with kids 3 and under free. Senior and PWD discounts available.
The main Eden park is amazing (80+ acres of park, which is re-forrested terrain), they have various flower and vegetable gardens with several photo ops (a few good photo set-ups, plus an amazing view of Davao city in the background at the last stop). One of the things we DIDN'T like on the guided tour that they only allow you 5 minutes to take pictures during their 3 or so stops.
The main park also has a small maze (fun for kids!) and a small aviary zoo (male and female common peacocks, 3 species of pheasants, a cockatoo) with a caged monkey in-between. Bird cages are mislabeled (they labeled a peacock female as something else, for example) and most of the birds are actually sick - if you are a farmer and have raised birds before, you'll recognize this right-away. Neither the birds nor the monkey are fed correct diets - you'll notice they just throw some generic ground animal feed (meant for pigs/cattle) directly through the grates, onto the cage ground (even for the monkey!). The birds' tail feathers and the monkey's rear are soiled by watery poop - which tells they are having digestive problems caused by the food they're eating. Sad. I really hope they study and learn how to feed the birds correctly - it's depressing.
We did find 3 of the healthier female peacocks roaming free near the parking space (the males are caged - this is what's stopping the females from flying away)... Plus, the 3 roaming females are somewhat domesticated - see attached pictures.
The highlight of the main Eden park, however, is their gardens and the photo op scenery.
RECOMMENDATIONS: If you're into picture-taking, the guided tour should be avoided - you're better off walking on foot. The buffet cafeteria is worth it - the food is fresh and good. There is also a small cafe restaurant right up next to the parking area - they serve real good breakfast :) Avoid the aviary zoo - it's depressing. The mini-maze is fun for kids. Do it as a family activity, split in groups and use your voice to find each other through the maze :) You'll find the mini-maze uphill, behind the "I...
Read moreEden Nature Park was one of top priority tourist spot to visit in Davao, at the park we prioritized the garden guided tour followed by the Sky adventure. And of course we enjoyed our garden tour alot as we had a very good company, andami naming tawa talaga and it was so amazing to see the Eden Nature's beauty. By the way Eden has their own pool as well but we just did not get photos coz the rain is getting a little bit angry and we need to leave the place and run 😊 Then after the garden tour we decided to go for fishing , and happily I found out that our tour guide made a short video while fishing 😍, every caught fish is considered sold at a price of 520 pesos per kilo as I remember and I hope I am not mistaken 😁 , then you can choose how those fishes (tilapia) would be cooked. they also have a menu if you opt not to fish. Another bonus on this area is that, you can watch their Philippine Deers roaming on their habitats while dining on the cottages. Doves around the area also are eye catchers and we enjoyed finding and counting them while we wait the rain to stop yes it was raining during our visit. After fishing we went to their Sky Adventures and we had no regrets in choosing the Sky Cycle over the Sky Fall and Sky Zipline as we have only given a limited time to go to our next destination . Indeed it was fun biking on air over a cable and then towards the end of the ride, our moment was captured with a few clicks by the official photographer which later were printed with designed borders. Then we proceed to our lunch which is buffet and it cost 600 peso each , but the food they serve was totally good. After lunch it was raining again so we decided to have a little trek and met their animals just around the corner, until we reach the butterfly sanctuary and just because we both love the butterflies we stayed there for an hour and the caretaker of the butterfly sanctuary is so friendly, he spend time with us finding this creepy bugs and allow us to find it ourselves that took us almost half an hour but still with the help of that guy we found one 😁. I just forgot his name, then me and Jimmy decided to have a game the first one that will find the stick bug will have 1 hour massage 😜😁 a kinda creepy living creatures that freak me out and scare me so much. But anyway overall our trip to Eden was exhausting but fun-filled and worth the distance from the city and the...
Read moreThe park is more or less 20kms away from the city. If you're going with a large group I suggest you rent a car. Taxis would cost more or less a thousand pesos one way but there's a cheaper option via commute. Take the Toril L300 or van, tell them you're going to Eden, then go down at Mercury Drug. The ride will cost around 20-25pesos for a 45minute ride. From there, you'll still need to take a tricycle and travel for around 11kms more 😂. They charge around 100/head. Be ready as you approach Mercury as the drivers will mob you to ride them.
Upon reaching the park, there's an entrance fee with 3 choices. The one with snacks (200), with fishing experience, or with buffet lunch (600). We chose the snack option as I was with my parents who were senior citizens (they offer senior citizen discount on entrance fees). They have 3 snack options, and we had each of them. We also bought halohalo on the side. Meal was good, not really the excellent type but it was okay and it comes with a mineral water too. Halohalo was delicious 👍
After lunch we had the tour which costs 120/person. It involves riding their service and going around the park with a tour guide. The tour lasts around an hour and has 3 stopovers for picture taking.
The last part of our trip (and my favorite) was the Skycycle. The activity grounds were on the opposite side of the park proper. There are other options of activities that might interest you such as Zipline and the other, I forgot what it was called. The cost was 200pesos per activity. It was really worth the experience 💜
The fare leaving Eden and going back to the city was a bit cheaper, 200pesos for 3persons because they said it was easier for them as the way is going downhill. The place was wonderful I suggest you allot a day for this activity, and bring your jacket as it's unusually cold there since it's on a...
