Pros and Cons. MUST READ!

Pros: The owners are friendly. The place is cozy with Bali-inspired vibes. Quiet location, away from the city. Staff members Jackie and Angelica/Angela are kind.

Cons: Walls are thin you can hear other people having sex. Heard it from Room 1 and Room 4. Other guests heard it too.

The staff are VERY INCOMPETENT

The hotel driver (Kevin) arrived 35 minutes late for our airport pickup, despite being informed of our arrival time.

The breakfast is at 8:00am but the staff are missing in action. We got our breakfast past 9:00 am. Then served us the wrong food.

Most of their food on the menu are out of stock. They know that their hotel is fully booked but their menu is not prepared.

Staff were consistently missing—no one at the front desk, in the kitchen, or elsewhere. We had to search for help multiple times. They know that their hotel is fully booked but they are missing in action.

The driver (Kevin) gave misleading information, overcharging for car rentals ₱5,000 - he's reason is the car is brand new Sedan Geely (the standard ₱1,500–₱3,000), giving incorrect breakfast times (informed us breakfast is at 6:00am so we waited at the resto for hours only to find out bfast is at 8am) and falsely claiming that visiting Manjuyod Island required no boat or entrance fee. Upon arrival, there was a ₱3,700 fee for the boat and entrance.

Food is terrible. Food seems like from the old stock. They serve a meal with only few pieces of fruits and the fruits doesn't look fresh.

The staff will only work if their bosses (owners) are present.

Lastly, they kept insisting that it's the holidays that's why there are no staff. If that's the case then they should have closed the hotel during the holidays so they could prioritize their holiday celebration. Right?! 😆

As much as I want to recommend this place and as much as I want to give this place 5 stars, I really had a terrible stay here because of their VERY INCOMPETENT STAFF. I thought our stay was only bad timing because it's Christmas but I checked the other reviews on Google and it just proves that their service is really terrible EVEN BEFORE. They consistently provide poor service.

I hope the owners are smart enough to change the whole staff and smart enough to hire the right people or train them.

If you reached until the end of my review, please think twice if you want to book a stay at this place. If you don't want to ruin your vacay, I highly suggest book other...

I'm going to be strictly honest about this review.

When we entered Dumaguete, it was really crowded and the pollution is sky high. It was very nice that the hotel was located in a quiet area with enough vegetation in the surrounding. The other side of the story is that there are not so much transportation options available, so go out for a walk and you wel manage it yourself.

About the (family)room, there are previous complains about all kind of stuff. Like a toilet seat that doesn't fit, the front door that won't shut completely or cant be locked at all etc. We noticed the exact same problems, what isn't even a really big deal to fix it. In the meantime time the owner of the hotel is expanding his hotel business, I do think that the focus is just not right. Fix the hotel before expanding, without this you will lose customers and they will not come back anymore.

The service was very poor. Its not that the people don't want to work, because they really want to work hard, but there is just to little staff around. There where periods that there was no one behind the reception. And I know that the counter will be that there is cctv all around the place, but that's not how it should be in a hotel.

Overall, we didnt liked our stay but there is potential in the hotel if you get your...

Briefly, do not visit this establishment. For the reasons why, continue reading. Interestingly, it appears that this venue was once pleasant. However, it is now a laughable situation.

Upon arrival, the staff alerts guests about two dogs residing on the premises. One is known to attempt escaping, while the other allegedly bites. Why would you allow a hostile dog near your customers? Unfortunately, our small dog was attacked by their dogs, prompting us to leave.

There were only one or two other occupied tables when we arrived. However, despite this, our group of four was expected to share one menu due to a shortage. The menu itself lacks proper descriptions, making it difficult to understand the dishes offered. Without this information, guests are left guessing about their order.

Due to the dog incident, we departed before trying any of the food. Based on our experience and observations, it is unlikely that the food quality is satisfactory. Additionally, many items on the menu were unavailable for order.

In conclusion, this establishment is severely lacking. My recommendation is to consider...

I recently stayed at this beautiful hotel and had a mixed but mostly positive experience. The place is incredibly aesthetic, with a lovely, nature-filled atmosphere that creates a peaceful vibe. The garden was a highlight for me, and while I enjoyed seeing the cute monkeys, I did feel a bit sad that they were kept in cages. The room itself was spacious, affordable, and clean, which made it a great value overall. The free breakfast was decent, though it was a bit limited in terms of options. One major downside was the noise – you can hear conversations and shouting from neighboring rooms, as well as footsteps from the third floor, which could be quite annoying at times. That said, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, with special mention to Jacky, who provided excellent service. She went above and beyond to make sure I was able to get a tricycle, especially when another staff member didn't offer any assistance. The owner was also very hospitable, which made the overall experience enjoyable. Despite a few drawbacks, I’d still recommend this place for the great ambiance and exceptional staff service.
