Escape Eco Resort — Hotel in Ferrol

Me and my husband hopp from Romblon Island to Tablas for our next adventure. Going to this place is quite challenging. You need to use a ferry from Romblon going to Tablas because of the big waves usually you need to take 40 mins. And after that you need a transportation to go to the escape eco resorts from San Augustin Port you need 2 hrs just to arrive to this place.|Well their place where you wanted to relax and have your meal is fine. You could really relax, enjoy the sunset and have a nice taste of their food.|But we get disappointed to our room. Well we get their biggest aircon room with biggest a veranda which stated to booking.com.When the staff showed our room we already started to get disappointed well the bed is fine. But one of their curtains are spoiled,their aircon filter and its aircon are full of dust so if you have health conditions like asthma we'll think of it first. So I clean the aircon because as much as possible we don't want to ruin our day. You booked good for 2 but you have 1 towel, 1 sachet of shampoo, 1 smallest soap but you don't have toothpaste and toothbrush but of course the good thing we have one toilet paper😂. No trashcan. No telephone so you need to use their stairs and go to their restau bar just to ask what are things you wanted to ask. The saddest part is their comfort room😅 you need to share it with others and it take to the point the next room don't want us to use it so we need to go down to another level for just to pee, pooh etc😂 and of course it's a share comfort room but some guests doesn't no the meaning of sharing. 😜Also the room we avail has also problems like when we wanted to use the aircon it always shutdown. |FYI we just arrived yesterday but because of things happened and we don't want to ruin our 3 nights spoiled of this things we decided find a new place to stay. Of course they still insists us to cancel the booking. Com because the charging thing they might get from booking.com but why should we do that if they let us paid the whole 4 nights we booked on that site in the first place? And they can't do anything to simple problem we shared from them about the comfort room? Instead finding a solution especially they also a nice points here in TripAdvisor? and yes we're happy finally we're happy because we found a nice place to stay aside they also have wifi access and also the amount your paying for your room include a breakfast, a nice pool, great Vibes of their restau bar and of course if you want to see their community they have different kinds of motor the automatic and manual and a...

I planned this trip 6months before the date, booked a piso fare with Cebu Pac. I got it for only 800PHP, but since I travelled alone I spent more with HOTEL, Transpo and Food. I always took an early morning flight, advisable for a first timer and a solo traveller. Got in Tugdan Aiport and the Habal Habal I booked thru a recommendation of a friend was waiting for me outside (A friend gave a mobile number and I called to asked for it) It was also my first time hopping in, in a motorcycle in a province where I dont know a soul. Experience was really GREAT! an hour from Airport to Escape Eco Resort. I mean maybe because I dont mind goin solo. it was a 3 days and 2 nights stay, I didnt able to go in other Island due to time and budget issue (hahaha) Habal Habal was 500 one way, and 600 goin back to Airport, i dont normally make TAWAD cause i just thought that Its my way of helping their locals, people was friendly too, server, helper and even the owner which was a filipina married to a foreigner guy was even kind and hospitable. If you wanna go somewhere else, like in Cresta De gallo, Bonbon Beach (Gerald Anderson has a really nice photo of this Place) Aglipay and Carabao Island be at the Odiongan port early morning cause mostly Ferry leaves before noon time, and its a first come first serve basis, it will be a waste of time if you get there after lunch cause youll be schedule the following day. I dont really do much of an activity when I travelled alone (and they offer very limitted activity) cause I just wanna enjoy my quiet time, sand, sun and sea!!! I have tasted the best Avocado smoothies ever! they served it like its an ice cream. Super duper sarap! I spend like 6000 more or less for this trip. Over all the Hotel and the Beach was really perfect for me. Place was secluded, very quiet, and private. Hotel also has their own bar (Please see the picture of Noah's Ark) acoustic night was I think every Friday, although when I was there they didnt have it cause its an off peak I think. They can serve your food in your room (oh before I forget they dont have a shower at the room it self, its a shared bath for all the NIPA Room) or you can have it at the bar. They have friendly Dogs too!!! Im not a pet lover but i did appreciate dogs when I was there, cause theyve been with me always wherever I go, super sweet! Escape Eco completed our Tablas Island experience. The hut we stayed at was very basic but comfortable. The bed and pillows were soft, though the sheets were thin for the cold. We got the fan room, but we didn't even turn it on during the night as it was already cold. There was no wifi, but an internet detox was actually good :) We were able to spend more time talking and had a lot of rest at night. The staff were all really nice and chatty. The food at the restaurant was good too. You should try the adobo and sulit pansit! :)||||The location was perfect. It was far from the main road, so you'd expect less people and more peace. It has the perfect sunset view too!||||Our only issues were:||1. Since we stayed in the huts, we had a shared outdoor shower, which was really coooold at night especially during this season. Hope they install bigger curtains and maybe cover it entirely just so the wind isn't too cold while showering. (in case you're not into cold outdoor showers, just choose the non-fan rooms)||2. The location was also a con. As it's quite far from the main road, getting rides to the airport/port was hard (we had to request for it a day before) and will set you back around 600-800 pesos.||3. Karaoke during 1 night. We are used to having karaoke, but maybe we expected for our nights to be quiet there and that we'll sleep early. They were done by around 11pm anyway.
