I would have rated this hotel a lot lower if I had stayed around the premises, instead of being involved in outside activities. ||||The first impression was fine, with friendly reception and room a few meters away. The room was small but cozy, with comfortable bed, spacious toilet and closet. However there was no complementary water, no toothbrush, and only sachets of toothpaste, shampoo and small soap bars. The toilet bowl was dirty, and there were bugs in the shower floor. ||||What was unacceptable was when I asked reception for room service or food, they gave me flyers for delivery. The restaurant was booked for a conference, and they claimed there was no chef. Worse, the local restaurants don't even answer their delivery numbers, so if one does not venture outside, they'd go hungry.||||Still, I would give them a chance for business travelers who do not spend their time at the hotel. The bed was comfortable, and AC adequate in the hot General Santos weather. The staff apologizes promptly for any problems, and are willing to secure taxis or other transportation to the nearest malls.||||I feel they could still improve, and judging by the recent reviews, my problems are not isolated. Likewise, I feel that the hotel was not at all full, and I was often alone when I go out of my room towards the lobby or at the restaurant. This would ring alarm bells for...
Read moreI had an okay stay at this hotel in this southern Philippines city. The location was not too great (not very much of anything within walking distance of the hotel), the presentation of the hotel as you drive up to the hotel - the parking lot, aesthetics, etc., is pleasing to the Western eye, the front desk looks nice and staff are polite, but they don't appear to have their hotel records, reservations, etc., in a computer database and they don't accept payment by credit card but only in cash!, the room is okay, decorated okay, TV with 100 channels!, very simple, rough bathroom & shower, they have TP available only upon request, apparently, hot water for shower, very little soap or shampoo, wifi in rooms is sporadic or non-existent, free, but simple & limited breakfast in the hotel restaurant, and food ordered off the menu for lunch or supper takes a LONG time to arrive...
Read moreNot sure why I stayed here. I suppose it was the photos and the cheap price. To be honest, in real life it does look nice as you drive into the courtyard. I got a ground floor room with ridiculously dim lighting. I had to get them to upgrade all the bulbs to brighter whiter ones. Spacious room but with a noisy old aircon unit. Breakfast was the usual bangus fish and rice. Edible but that's all. Most of my stay, I was the only guest in the entire establishment..!! What does that tell you? I think it's in the wrong location.|The area around the hotel is pretty rundown and a struggle for pedestrians. Not much to see, do or eat there. Pay a bit more and go...
