Justine’s Guest House — Hotel in Kabankalan

If you need to stay over in Kabankalan, this is a fine location.||Located in a quiet street away from the tricycles but 2 minutes from the town centre, 5 minutes from the bus terminal.||Slept really well in a spotlessly clean bed in a comfortable en-suite room. Quiet aircon too. Hot shower was welcomed. Even the TV worked properly. ||Coffee shop, free Wi-Fi, very helpful owner, attentive staff. The chef was on holiday during our stay unfortunately but breakfast was still served every morning, just for us. Room rates were very good value for the standard of accommodation.||Beautiful building painted bright orange. Bedrooms set back from the road, on ground and 2nd floor. Well built with thick walls, never heard our neighbours.||Off street parking.||Would have hated to stay on the busy main road, it was like a motorcycle speedway 24 hours a day out there. This place is a bit of a hidden jewel. I like Zaycoland but it gets pricey if on a budget. First found it here on tripadvisor, then a friend in Kabankalan checked it out for me. Just a block off the main road leading to public plaza but would not find without prompting. Lovely place, mucho vegetation in the ground and pots. Very nice accoutrements not found everywhere include many beautiful natural wood benches, including one with cartwheels. Amicable service from the one young lady who responds quickly from the bell as she handles everything. Decent enough, quiet room with good air con and shower. Nothing fancy but quite adequate for P850, choice of single or "matrimonial" bed. I believe meals can be ordered but I assume they are from outside. First of all the place is kind of a dump and has a very bad sewer smell right outside. I showed up mid/late afternoon and had a room booked for 7 nights. Upon arrival I was very tired and ready to sleep. Not here! The young girl behind the reception desk asked me for a print out of my itinerary. All I had was email copy on my phone. Nope, not good enough! She had my reservation and number along with my ID right there in front of her but I didn't have a printed receipt so no room!||Then these scammers tried to charge me 2 nights for failing to show up!||I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!||I went a couple blocks away and found Hans Hotel which was cheaper and didn't...
