We stayed at El Puerta Marina Beach Resort for 2 days. The staff have wonderful customer service and are very friendly. Stephanie who works at the front desk is an exceptional employee. She is very professional and very attentive. She even accommodated giving my daughter a buko pandan drink before dinner time. The rooms are clean, the water is fine and the ac works great.
The only cons I have which is a major issue is the water slide in the water park that you use the tube on, wave pool didn't seem to be working and kiddie pools should be cleaned more...a lot of leaves and stuff. This slide that you go down with sitting on the tube is very dangerous to be honest. I'm from the U.S. and that would not be anywhere near up to code and would not be considered a functional slide.
1st issue...they have to manually turn on the water to get the slide going..it takes a while for the slide to get wet but it's not enough water as I got stuck midway down the slide and had to walk down and get back in the tube to finish the slide. 2nd issue...there is no staff at the top of the slide to assist you in getting in the tube and pushing you off. 3rd and MAJOR ISSUE...As you are going down the slide, you are spinning out of control in circles and bumping very hard into the sides of the slide. I got scratched up on my elbow and leg. This is so dangerous and can really result in people getting seriously hurt. You can't have your elbows or feet sticking out or you will get hurt so keep them tucked in if you dare go on this. I will not be going on this again. 4th issue. It really needs to be repaired. It is in need of updating and fixing. It looks very worn and old. I don't know what the process is in the Philippines to make sure things are up to regulations but that seriously needs to be looked into because like I said, people can get seriously injured.
To sum it up, we had a great time with family overall. The food is delicious and they have a nice selection to choose from. You get free breakfast, meryenda and dinner. You can order lunch there as well.
You can walk around the grounds and it's very maintained with the landscaping..very beautiful. They have outside showers that look like coconuts too by the infinity pool to rinse off which is really nice.

Β Β Β Read moreI want to leave an honest review. Gave only 4 stars cause of some minor issues. We've enjoyed our stay at Bahia 1 which is located near the beach. It's a fully air conditioned beach house. Upon arrival staffs are all accommodating, specially manong guards. The food was really great, as for our dinner we couldn't finish the food coz it's really too much for the pax of 10 π . We chose meal 1 for our food. Their pancit is really delicious( pasado sa panlasa)πππ. We actually had a reservation few hrs before goin thereπ (we're lucky that they still have 1 available). They also allowed us to bring water and chips coz we're travelling with kids (outside food isn't allowed). Since we stayed near the beach the parking area is quite far that's why we asked the staff who assisted us if it's ok to park nearby since it will be a long walk to get back to the beach house, they said it's ok but park at your own risk. At the beach there are manong bangkero who offers boat riding for only 100php per head and banana boat ride for 200php. We only tried boat riding early morning next day which is much relaxing goin to the beach at sunrise. Some minor issues we encountered is the light on the bedroom isn't working, there's a bedside table but need to get fix that we had to put a piece of paper on the ON button to keep it the light on. The bathroom has no bidet though they have a bucket and dipper(balde at tabo) one of the bathroom has no dipper. They don't have an electric kettle and no complimentaries (coffee, sugar and creamer) on the beach house. We woke up 4:30 in the morning and wanted to take a sip of hot coffee, we phone the staff but apparently it is only available at 7am. Good thing manong guard is really nice that he gave us coffee and hot waterπππππ. It still need some improvement. Check in and check out is fast and smooth. πππππ. They are always attending to our query and requestππππ. I highly recommended staying here if your goin to Lingayen...
Β Β Β Read moreWe beach house number 2 during our stay, which was conveniently located right outside the gates of the resort and a few steps away from the beach. The beach house itself was roomy enough - good for 9 people for a comfortable stay, more if you don't mind the tight space. Downside is that there's only one bathroom for the entire house. There's a communal bathroom and shower outside the accommodation, but it was non functional - busted lights, no locks on doors, etc. The outside is open space where we were told was okay for bonfires. Too bad it was rainy then.
The waterpark itself was relatively okay. According to the staff, they did water treatments and maintenance once a week. The water looked clean enough. Only 3 out of 5 slides were open during our stay. The man-made "river" around the pools was under repairs. There's also an infinity pool near the beach houses but the bar beside it was empty.
Reserving a room includes free entrance to the water park and breakfast. The restaurant was a bit disappointing though. The breakfast spread was dismal, not worth the price if you were paying for it.
The beach, though, was worth the trip. You can rent surfboards from the resort but the waves aren't high enough most of the time. Skimboards are the way to go. The shore itself was clean, little to no garbage around The sand was fine and perfect for making sandcastles on.
TIPS: Try not to go during high tide. The road in front of the resort gets flooded, not good for small/low cars. Even the resort's walkways get submerged. Bring cash. The POS system for credit/debit cards during our stay wasn't working.
COMMENTS for the RESORT: Please encourage your staff to not be rude. I was asking a question politely and I was...
