I booked two nights at this hotel through agoda and received my booking # and conformation of payment on my Visa. The hotel was only going to give me two twin beds but I requested a double. They did change my room for us. The room was below my expectations, and there was a foul smell in the bathroom, which wasn't very clean either. They claim to have a restaurant but it is merely a kitchen where you choose from a limited menu, and then you have to give the staff LOTS of time to prepare your food. They frequently have to run out to the local market to pick up the ingredients!!! Be prepared to wait!!! I found the service to be below par for a hotel calling themselves a "resort." The pool wasn't very large and the water seemed cloudy and I didn't see any filtration system to clean the water. Around 7:30 P.M. on the first night my fiance and I were having dinner by the pool when we were confronted by the front desk staff. They said we had cancelled our reservation on Agoda, and therefore were not guests. This was unbelievable! I showed them our confirmed booking and proof of payment. I was quite upset about being confronted during our dinner about this and was baffled. The next evening the manager of the hotel knocked on our hotel door and said that WE had cancelled our reservation, and were given a refund by Agoda. I was totally shocked by this accusation! At NO time had we ever cancelled our reservation, It appears that Agoda had cancelled our reservation without our knowledge or consent and now we looked like scammers or people trying to get free lodging. I was very upset. The next day we were confronted again at the check out desk and the hotel manager was there and he was on the line with Agoda. Someone, and we don't know who, had claimed to have cancelled our reservation, and also claimed we received a refund from Visa. I had had enough. I talked to the Agoda representative on the phone, and pressed him for information as to why this happened to us. I had a confirmed booking and payment notice. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. As far as I am concerned, we paid for two nights, and Agoda and the hotel can straighten out this matter between them. I have done nothing wrong. The hotel has my email address and they can respond to me whenever. I will never book another stay through Agoda again nor will I recommend or stay at this hotel again. They ruined our mini getaway and caused us undue stress. P.S. This hotel has a rat problem too. I saw rats running around on the property near the dining area, the pool area, and on the way to the office. The sliding door to our room is NOT secure. The key is very difficult to open and lock.
