I spent 3 months on a Traveling Adventure from December 2023 to March 2024. Just got back to California. Stayed at many beach resorts mainly, and dozens of Hotels over the many years (17) I've visited the Philippines. So, The Hideaway Resort, owned and run by Craig and Ava, was my favorite. My stay was so nice and relaxing, I ended up staying there for 3 or 4 days in Dec. 2023 and AGAIN in Jan., and AGAIN Feb. 2024. I definitely will return AGAIN next Winter. Lovely people their staff. And this little gem of a resort seems to attract similar folks. It has to be experienced. Rustic, real, very quiet, serene, lovely. Surrounded by many different tropical trees and flowers. Wind/breeze seems to regularly sweep down from the close by hills behind the property. Hiking, swimming in their brand new built pool with a "Slide", a short jaunt to one of many close by beaches, boating Adventures, Scuba and/or Snorkeling Adventures offered, plus the Love Shack. The Love Shack is the cozy Bar and Resto out in the courtyard, which is built out of Bamboo!! Love it. Many a night staying there is spent having a delicious meal, drinking a cold beer or cocktail, and talking and listening to other guests. Guests from all over the world. Great Britan, Australia, Sweden, America, Canada, etc. etc.|I would highly recommend this clean, safe and relaxing resort to anyone. Period. The price for the rooms, as well as the food and drink at the Love Shack, is so reasonable and inexpensive that my only fear is occupancy and vacant rooms may be more difficult for me by next Winter. So, I will book it very early. |As a frequent traveler, especially of Southeast Asia, and the gorgeous South Pacific, I have never found a spot that was so perfect for peacefully reading a Book.|M....
Read moreThe owner was very friendly and accommodating. She suggested a lot of activities we can do. They have partnered with a free-dive group if you want to learn. The rooms are spacious so are the bathrooms. They have a tiny bar but limited menu. It’s a very quiet place. Although there are a few minor improvements. The shower needs a little more water pressure as opposed to the bidet that could almost clean your colon. They did not provide any toilet paper for our bathroom and the chairs and tables outside our room were not cleaned regularly as they were filled with bird poop. The outdoor chairs and tables were not regularly swept they can be filled with stuff falling from the trees so we were not able to use them. Overall it was a nice and quiet place, close to nature. You can hear the frog at night and the babbling of the...
Read moreWhat I love about this place is the company - the owners are great ppl to talk to and very helpful in arranging tours etc. The pool is nice. The room is basic BUT they are clean (fancy rooms don't impress me much). The food at the restaurant is good because it is home cooked! Many of the food is western savoir but you can also get Filipino food as well (yummy Silog). And yes it is not on the beach which also means that it is away from the noise (and yes the town can be noisy). I highly recommend staying...
