Okay, for the effort of constructing a victorian themed hotel in a very bucolic setting like Solano in Nueva Vizcaya, it is commendable. And it stopped there, the hotel is like hodgpodge of everything that the owner have in his/her stock room. Acrylic paintings that you usually see on the malls posted on the walls, wooden door signs, outdated chinese ceramic jars, dusty plastic flowers etc etc. Theres a contrived feeling once youre inside. The stairs are too strenuous to tackle and you have no.choice because theres no elevator. |Well the room is spaciuos with canopied beds and thick curtains, the bathrooms are spacious too with a separate area for a shower and a bathtub and the toilet bowl with a separate bowl for washing your butt. |Theres no complimentary water and coffee as well. Well its good that i didnt pay for my stay here, but if theres a choice to stay soemwhere else go and do it and because afterall when in solano you dont expect to have a grand hotel you only need a confortable...
Read moreSeveral of my family were checked in in this hotel so we decided to just stay there too. The only positive thing I can say is that the kids had a fun time swimming. Their bathroon... which by the way is about the size of their rooms are falling apart. I baught ice cream from Their little store by the pool but they have no change for even a small peso bill. The front desk tried to overcharge us as we were checking out. when we asked for the manager, btw...the owner is the manager and she is not in town. I don't think the owner should be running a hotel because clearly she has no clue how to run one. They have a lot of HRM students who are training for free and thus should help with how they run this place but I don't think the owner really cares. I heard she is the wife of a tycoon businessman so I guess She has too much money to care. What a shame and waste of money though. I say run away from this place, there are other decent places you can stay in for a fraction...
Read moreThe hotel has a Victorian style façade which is quite nice. The rooms were also themed that way, they were alright if not for the heavy curtains which smelled like your grandmother’s chest and high aircons. But It heightened my disappointment when I requested them to remove the curtains above the bed because they triggered my allergic rhinitis. I told them that they were too dusty and I can’t sleep. I have difficulty breathing. The front desk told me that they were sorry because they cannot remove the curtains. How do you clean them if you cannot remove it, I asked. They simply said that they just vacuum it. I asked them again, you will not remove it, even I have allergies and told me that they will just clean my room in the morning, which they did. This lessens a little my allergy attack. But it was a very uncomfortable week for me. The whole hotel was unkept. There were dust everywhere and cobwebs on the chandeliers. Their food however was acceptable...
