Ilocos Urban Wave Resort — Hotel in Luzon

We are not expecting too much until we arrived and saw how big and clean the resort was. They have 3 big swimming pools, the lap pool, the boat shape pool and the wave pool. I am so impressed on how clean and well maintained this big resort was, the surrounding was so tidy that you will be ashmed of littering. The water is crystal clear that you can even see the small leaf floating on it. The wave pool was also fun, the kids enjoyed it so much. Although the wave is not continuous, it will only last about 5-10 minutes and you have to wait again until they turn it on.

The rooms are big enough and the queen size beds are comfortable. It has a small fridge and cable TV. It has a cold and warm shower. They don't have breakfast buffet, but understandable because they only have 8 rooms. But they will offer a complimentary breakfast which is really good! And a choice of brewed coffee, hot choco or juice. When we booked our room they have a free dinner promo, that made our stay more worth it.

Their resort will open at 9am to 9pm, so expect that there will be people swimming until 9pm. I saw people still coming around 6pm with their families and kids. There's a lot of cottages around the resort and they have a lot of parking spaces for cars. And the entire resort is a non-smoking, smoking of any kind is not allowed, which is a plus because we dont like the smell of ciggarettes. The network signal here is 5G which is impressive. We will definitely come back here and this is our new favorite resort in Ilocos Norte.

Tip: You can order food at their restaurant and you dont have to go...

We celebrated my daughter birthday in this resort, as it is the cleanness resort & pool within the area and the general setting is above average.|The resort team was very friendly & helpful, especially during the wave pool was operating and may guests enjoyed the spectacle.|Sady there was no times indicating from which time until when the machine was operation, just somebody blowing a whisle🤔.||In my humble opinion, if somebody books the hotel for an event including pool usage and food, the restaurant is not very suitable, as the settle is not so suitable. Setting is to stiff, to far from the pool and the seating was not very comfortable for this kids party.||As we pre-booked the event with a package deal (food & pool use), the choices of menu is very simple and nothing real available for a kids party, so we ended up bringing some of the dish ourself. The food options on their menu packages, sadly all traditional local food, no inspiration and flair.||What surprized me the most, was, that all the buffet food was precooked and placed cold inside the chafing dishes and about 30 minutes before meal time the heaters were lit.|Food "quality" all our birthday guests enjoyed it, for me not really my cup of tea as most food items either contained MSG & or Magic Sarap, I am just not used to it. Anyhow our visitors...

Well I cant really say this is a POST COVID getaway since technically, we are still struggling globally.

And life must go on. Albeit, there is nothing much tourism can do, we must help support one another with local travel, good reviews, two thumbs up, five star ratings, because learning to appreciate what we have, what people can offer, or what is available, is really more than enough to be thankful for.

So, this place deserves a review! The rooms are clean and the amenities are world class. I got fast internet, a nice place where I can sit and have coffee.. im happy.

My daughter seems to be enjoying the waves. For me, if i see her happy, thats a 5 star rating. The crew here are helpful. I guess with not much tourist to entertain, i get a lot of hi hellos, chat and can i help you?

Thats five star! You know when youre the only one in the resort, you sort of get all the attention and the best services and so its all worth it.

I get a feeling this is the best time to travel to maximize on the perks and points and extra special food on your plate.
