La Casa Ramirez — Hotel in Luzon

Had a pretty disappointing stay. First off, the room wasn’t even ready at 2 PM, which is supposed to be the check-in time. They said they had to clean and change the bedsheets because the previous guest just checked out. But isn’t checkout at 12 PM? What’s going on with that?

The staff, honestly, weren’t the friendliest. One of them was quite rude, and they didn’t seem to care much when we had issues. Speaking of issues—there were plenty. The shower wasn’t working, and we weren’t informed beforehand. They advertised otherwise, which felt misleading.

No basic toiletries were in the room when we got there. We had to go and ask for them, which was frustrating. Also, the TV reception was really bad, so it wasn’t even worth trying to watch.

On the bright side, the room was clean, the air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was spacious (just keep the door closed, or it starts to smell). Another plus is that there are plenty of tricycles nearby, so getting around the area...

The internet doesn’t have a connection. The room stinks. The staff were all impolite and bitchy. They said since we booked online we are not allowed to use their pool unless we pay ₱200 per head. We agreed and asked them to charge it in the room we are staying and they didn’t know what that means. When we explained the staff got bitchy about it. We left the key in the room and asked them to open it for us, we waited hours to have it opened. They said they didn’t have duplicate key and had to access the other room to get inside our room. “REDFLAG” THIS MEANS THAT THEIR ROOM HAS POOR SECURITY!!! They didn’t have fire exit anywhere. We asked for the receipt of our stay and refused to issue one. The staff said we have to wait for someoene not sure what time they can issue.. this place is a nightmare!!! We requested for toiletries and they said they couldn’t give us because their stockroom is...

Overall this hotel was new and guess still in progress.. Parking was small at the front.. There was parking at the back but was untidy and looked like someone live in the house behind the hotel.. Staff were freindly and helpful.. Hotel was clean inside and at the front of hotel but at the back like I said its was unsightly.. Room itself was small but good and clean.. Bathroom was also clean but we had to keep door closed as the smell from the drains was very strong. The room did have an air con unit which was great cos it's was hot.. Room view was of the back of hotel so was not good.. After leaving hotel realised there was a pool.. Which is not obvious from the front.. Can't comment on it though as didn't use or even see the area. Overall I did like this hotel and would use it again.. But will buy my own bleach to pour down drain next time...
