Again.. Where do I begin.

This resort is very accessible from the cordilleras or NCR but the road to it is sandy and not cemented. The owner was very accommodating and friendly over the phone when booking the resort. I was pleased when we were informed that the resort will be ours exclusively on the day even as day tour as there were no other bookings on our arrival day. I also booked a room for us to rest and refresh. Upon our arrival, I was surprised to learn that the resort accepted other day tour guests. The caretakers explained that they, too, were not expecting other guests to arrive so probably didn't have any other choice but to accept them? I tried ringing the owner several times but she wasn't picking up the phone. To my disappointment, we looked for other resorts around the area which got pool and beach access but weren't successful. We didn't have a choice but to go back to LBMFI which they gladly accepted us. The caretakers welcomed us and arranged a beachfront cottage for us to stay and dine. As we were over 20pax, they let us borrowed some tables and chairs, and a BBQ grill(which needs a thorough cleaning). The room we got was decent in size which got a functioning AC, lots of beds and a small toilet/bathroom with no shower(just a faucet with a bucket and tabo). The door of the bathroom was broken so privacy was really an issue, and it didn't even remained closed, we have to wedge something heavy on the floor so as to keep it closed. Or asked someone to keep an eye on the door and let everybody know that someone is inside! That needs fixing! Oh, there was a broken plastic drawer in the room which we didn't use anyway but still needs attention. It got a very tiny kiddie pool, around 3ft deep?, not so sure and a small to medium-sized adult pool which they were still filling up when we checked in. We have to share the pool with the other guests so it wasn't that exciting. Although my son enjoyed the kiddie pool. Water wasn't circulating inside the pool so in the afternoon, the water was quite mucky already. There was a single outdoor shower facility near the pool but the handle to operate it was broken, there was a very old and rusty pliers for you to turn the broken handle. Not very safe for children to use. There were also 3 bathroom/toilet around the pool, 2 small ones and a medium-sized one which doesn't have a shower but a hanging faucet(very smart and fun to use though!). There was a sink and faucet to use as well for washing the dishes. A videoke machine was available to rent for extra charge. The resort got a spacious parking area, can fit 4 cars and is also gated. The seafront cottage given to us was spacious and breezy but quite on a slope. Very accesible to the sandy beach although the path to the beach was quite unstable with rocks, cement and sand. You have to be very careful as one wrong step could give an sprained ankle or a bad fall which could result to a cut, a bruise or worse, a broken bone!! This is because the foundation of the cottage and the pathway was slowly falling apart caused probably by years of erosion from the sea currents as the tide rises. This is a major safety issue for the resort and that needs to be addressed ASAP before an unfortunate event can happen to a guest or to their own staff. I should have taken a photo of it but apologies, I wasn't able to. The sea was calm and shallow in the morning but tide rises in the afternoon and very sandy. There were some ambulant vendors roaming around selling cheap souvenirs, ice drops, local seafood and dry fish. Lastly, I would like to commend the staff/caretakers who were brilliant despite with all the above pros and cons. Special mention to Manong Marlon who went the extra mile to provide a very good customer service. Overall, if you're looking for a simple and budget-friendly beach getaway with pool facilities and basic amenities, this resort will do but if you're very particular in terms of amenities and facilities, LBMFI may...

If not for the way the owner dealt on a damaged table, we'd give it a 3.5. Next time, face your customers professionally. Customers pays for the accommodation and should be treated well.

Thanks to the respectful...
