I understand this was a new hotel opened in 2015 - if it manages to keep up the cleanliness and facilities to a good standard it will do well. We stayed in Family and Double rooms at PHP 700 and PHP 500 respectively - very good value for money.||||Location: Walking/Tricycle distance of the local town of Bayombong with a good selection of shops. The hotel is set back from the main road and is quiet as a result.||||Facilities: The hotel has a small restaurant, with reasonably priced food. They were very flexible and responded to ad-hoc requests for more western food. The staff managed to cater for an impromptu meal for 30 people with no notice. There is a small Japanese style garden with a fish pond, this is well maintained and . My only complaint was an issue with the drains around the garden that caused an unpleasant smell - this is my only negative point - hence not 5 star yet. There is free WIFI throughout the hotel and the speed is reasonable - enough for video streaming - unusual in basic hotels. There is parking space out front for a number of cars.||||Room: Family rooms are bigger but upstairs where the shower water pressure suffers, not a problem in the double rooms downstairs. Both have good sized wall mounted flat screen TVs with a good selection of Filipino and English channels. Beds are comfortable and the bed covers were a source of amusement to us (Sponge Bob, Hello Kitty, Drifters...) and brightened up the basic room. The bath room was smaller in the double room but the showers were hot (or buckets of water on the upper floor!). Also in the room was a table and mirror. There was no room phone but a facility to text room service with orders was available!||||Staff: Staff were very helpful and friendly, if you want your bedding you need to remind them. Payment is on a daily basis and checkout is at noon. ||||Tips: Rooms closer to restaurant area have better WIFI signal. Family rooms have more lighting options and plug sockets. Close bathroom door to keep out mosquitos - there is a net on the window but they manage to get through. Sweet and Sour Chicken is not on the menu but was very good! ||||Overall: We were impressed, having stayed in town at a much more expensive dated hotel (The Sabre Inn) and the over the top Highlander (top room PHP 5,000). We stayed for about 10 days as did families and friends. There was no pool but the price reflects this and you can always go to...
Read moreThe hotel is actually at the back of some government offices. Don't expect too much in this hotel. This isn't the type of hotel to spend your vacation. This is a nice place to stop and spend the night while traveling. The food here is not so great but good enough and the prices are reasonable. The servers were attentive, although several of the items on the menu were out of stock. The roo is good enough for the night. The bed is comfortable and you'd have a good night's sleep. The air conditioning can get very cold but the blankets are warm and comfy. The bathroom has a water heater. I recommend keeping the setting at about 2 to 3 dots from 0. The heater can get real hot beyond that. The remote control of the TV is not working when I was there. There are not enough channels on TV anyway. The wifi is accessible and free but it isn't fast at all. Parking space is limited and can get full at night. Because it is January, it is cool at the garden and open area at the second floor. The smaller rooms are at the ground floor and the bigger rooms are at the second floor. There seems to be construction work at the back for expansion and the sound of hammers and roofing material can be heard at the room but not too loud. However, if you leave on or before 7 AM, it isn't an issue. Overall, it was a nice...
