Thank you Mavy and family for an unforgettable stay. There was a huge group of Pinos's and Mavy very kindly organized for me to join the group with guides to Mt. Kupapey, Mt Fato, the rice fields, and local villages, an early start but well worth it!! Stunning beauty. Room was nice and clean, good internet and thanks again Mavy for kindly cooking for me and all the help and assistance, greatly appreciated and hats off to the amazing guides who took us deep into natures beauty. Tip: There are jeepneys usually every couple of hours from the Bontoc market, there are no signs, but just look for the jeepney marked Maligcong but better to just ask around, the Jeepney parks opposite a souvenir shop in the market area. The jeepney ride is not for the faint hearted, it’s a steep, winding climb up the mountain and is usually overcrowded so pack light and do not eat a meal beforehand!! Mavy’s guesthouse is conveniently one of the last stops of the jeepney and at the foot of the mountains mentioned above so it’s only about a 1.5-2-hour trek...
