Mira is a very scenic and relaxing place, perfect if you want to unwind and enjoy nature. However, getting there can be a bit challenging. The road is a mix of cemented and uncemented parts, and there’s no mobile signal in the area, so it’s best to rely on the map they provide (which is very helpful).
Along the way, you’ll encounter rivers without bridges, so expect your vehicle to pass through the water—though the depth depends on the weather. When we arrived, the water had risen slightly due to overnight rain. You’ll know you’re near once you see the big "MIRA" sign across the river.
The uphill road going to the site is very steep and narrow. I highly recommend riding a habal-habal and leaving your motorcycle or car at the base. Although the journey can be stressful, the view at the top makes it all worth it.
The cabins are nice and comfortable. It’s more convenient to have meals prepared by the staff instead of bringing too much, since carrying supplies uphill can be difficult. Take note that some areas experience low water supply, so I suggest booking a cabin closer to the canteen where water is always available.
The place is also great for grilling and bonding, though during our stay the water supply was limited at times. At night, be sure to close the cabin doors well, as there are crows that might try to enter during the early hours!
Overall, despite the challenging trip, Mira offers beautiful views, cozy cabins, and a refreshing escape from the city. Just be prepared for the road conditions and make the most of the peaceful environment once...

The caretakers were also very nice. They let us to check in early. If you forget to bring some things such as icebox, tube ice, water and food to cook, they will be providing it for you with minimal fees. If you dont want to hike, they will also used their 4x4 cab to fetch you from jumpoff and vice versa during check in and check out time.
However, if you want to relax like a staycation, please do consider these — the location tends to become very hot especially from 8 am to 5 pm. There’s a lot of insects especially at night, not mosquitoes but kuligligs. We also had issues with the water flow in the common kitchen and restroom. There is no electricity in the room except for a small fan and lights for the night. WFH friendly in terms of wifi connection but there are no charging ports in the rooms. You can charge your phone at the common kitchen couple of steps away from the room. The roads leading to the site is also bumpy and tend to slippery especially in the rainy season, please be mindful to your...
