Q Beach Resort — Hotel in Luzon

I saw them in youtube and inquired via facebook. Looking back, their FB page has no review and this should have been the 1st red flag. 2nd red flag would be they quoted us 5 pax when I informed them that we are only 4. They charged an extra mattress. Though, I did not mind this because my children likes to sleep in seperate beds anyways. No outside food and water bottle will incur a fee.

We booked for 3D2N, March 29-31. We came from Cavite and it took us 5 hrs to get to their resort. When we got there, it took them 1 and 1/2 hr to check us in. While waiting, we decided to have snacks muna pero sabi sa amin cut-off na daw. This was around 230pm and they would take orders again at 4pm pa. Pero around 3pm, kinuha na nila ung orders pero 4pm pa talaga na-serve. We ordered carbonara for 2-3 pax (pero pang 1 lng talaga ang serving), seafood pasta in oil, french toast, 2 fruits shakes. The taste of the food was really low quality pero gutom na gutom na kami since we came from Cavite pa and only had light snacks sa NLEx. We also ordered in advance for dinner.

They gave the family room at the 3rd floor w/ 2 queen beds, cr, open shelves for clothes, a personal fridge but no complimentary water. The room’s airconditioning was very cold as it was set to 17 deg. We liked that. No tv as well. The power outlets are way too far from the tiny desks leaving your phone in the floor while charging. The bathroom and cr is in one spacious room but the water pressure was faint and nawawala pa ang supply ng water.

This resort is clearly understaffed and the staff that they have is not trained properly. Although mababait sila, wala talaga silang training and understaffed pati ang kitchen. Come dinner kagulo na naman. Yung pagkakagulo nila sobrang nakakatawa kasi sa rate ng rooms nila hinde sil dapat ganun. Our dinner was served mga 20mins lang kasi advance order na. Pero ung additional namin took an hour to be served.

Our last straw was during breakfast the next day. Ginawa nilang buffet ang plated breakfast. Kulang ang luto, kulang ang staff, kulang ang mga gamit para makakain ng ayos ang nga tao. Tapos yung quality ng food nila grabe mas masarap pa ang karinderya. Ung daing na bangus ang kati sa bibig.

This experience made us decide to leave kht 3D 2N ang bayad namin. All food orders were charged to room and my husband paid 7k total for all our food.

Their only redeeming point is their staff is mababait hanggang sa guards. I hope they are compensated sufficiently.

I would not recommend this resort even to my enemy. I did not even take pictures...

Our check-in time was scheduled for 2:00 PM. We arrived at the beach resort around 2:45 PM, yet the room was still not ready. The initial reason given was that the previous guests had checked out late, which we accepted with understanding. To pass the time, we decided to dine at the resort; however, the waiting time for food was over an hour.

By 3:30 PM, the room was still unavailable. We followed up and were informed that a blackout had occurred, preventing the bed sheets and other linens from drying. After another hour, we followed up once more, and disappointingly, the room was still not prepared.

From the start, our experience was far from satisfactory. The beach had no shoreline, which was a major letdown, and the actual appearance of the resort was completely different from the photos posted on Facebook. The location itself was also difficult to reach.

It was a clear case of expectation versus reality.

What made the situation even worse was the complete lack of accountability from the management. The manager did not come out to address the concerns of the guests — not ours nor those of others who were experiencing the same issues. Instead, they left the frontline staff to deal with the complaints without any support.

Given this series of disappointments, I cannot recommend this resort to...

NEGATIVE Ten out of Ten.

A lackluster reception is only as egregious as the audacity to still charge a service charge after refusing to serve a room RESERVED way ahead of time with DOWNPAYMENT to guests waiting for over three hours. Food is lackluster, service had no focus.

A group of 14 arrived at 2:00 PM after a grueling travel from Manila. We were met with a receptionist that informed us regarding the rooms not being set up, despite being reserved days prior. Something about a power interruption. Promised they'll be working on it. In order to honor our end of the deal, and our down payment and time, we waited.

Ended up with the situation seeing no improvement at 5:00 PM.

We had so much fun at the resort next door, Sunset Water Sports Retreat. Much more worth the money and time. They had excellent service, and was focused on...
