The surely created a nice bohemian vibe on the property. The view is magnificent. The kids had a great time at the pool though the pool is not really an exclusive pool its shared by all guests with the other villas. We had the wrong impression that its a single villa with an exclusive pool, maybe we should have inquired it with the property prior to booking. The beach however is not good for swimming especially for kids. Its maybe our fault not realizing why its called The reef house, the beach is literally a reef with sharp rocks. The place is in all fairness is okay but we cannot forgive the staffs INTRUSION, IT FELT LIKE WE ARE NOT A PAYING GUEST AND NOT ENTITLED TO ANY PRIVACY. They have been coming in and out of the house even after we checked in. They claimed that the A/C in one of the rooms is not working, we advised them to just have it fixed after we check out, we wont mind the A/C not working as long there is a fan since its going to be used by seniors who are not into A/C anyway. They ignored it and still went ahead and came in and out even if this is a late check in. Anyway we checked in at 4pm two hours beyond the actual check in time which should have been sufficient time for them to check everything before the guests arrives. We ignored them and didnt let that affect our mood. In one of the rooms where there is double deck bed one of the kids decided to take the upper deck and went up the stairs of the said bed, much to our surprise the fan located just by the stairs suddenly fell. Due to its location it cannot be avoided that a foot or an arm may get incontact with it. Thankfully no one was harmed. We reported it immidiately to the staff and noticed that the fan was already broken since it does not have the plastic covering the mechanism or machine (will attach pics) and seems to have not been securely installed. We went ahead and enjoy the place regardless. The following day at around 9am while everyone is out either at the beach or the pool one of the staff approached as that they have a maintenance team who will work on a supposedly A/C fault. We have not reported any fault to them after the ladies went in and out of the room the previous day and we havent expreienced any A/C malfunction overnight btw. We asked them if they could do that after we checked out as everyone is trying to make the most of our time. They insisted we obliged on one accompanying them. Around 10:30 am while we were already preparing for check out the ladies again came in and out the house again because of what they claim the faulty A/C and that they need to fix it since they are expecting vip guests next to us who are from some kind of province according to one of the ladies. This got us offended. Can’t they wait for us to check out. We are also paying guests, to my understanding we are entitled to our privacy during the booking. The place was okay we made the most of what is there but the treatment we received from the staff is unpleasant. the staff came in a lot in the property giving us the awkward unwelcoming vibe. They claimed it was because of a faulty aircon. We tried asking if they can have it fixed after our check out but it was either ignored or they insisted not giving us any choice. My sister who is also a guest left a detailed review in this platform was replied by the owner with a blatant disregard on the experience we had making false accusation that such review is fueled by our refusal to pay a damaged fan and left without paying the damaged fan. The owner is very rude, cannot take any criticisms we wish google should not allow them from editing their original post as the original comment is unexpected from a person managing a hospitality business. The owner is claiming that we ran away from a 1500 PESO fan. We argued to the charges since the fan was already falling apart before it even fell as the pictures depicts and the staff admitted that it is its original state. And how can a fan securely installed fall with just a contact or foot or an arm. The maintence guy tried contacting the owner regarding our dispute but was advised that they will send the charges through the third party booking site. We then agreed but we will definitely dispute it thats why we took pictures of the damaged fan and the bracket and the location so we can use it in our dispute. The maintenance guy then said he will take care of it but we already okayed with them sending the charges through the booking site. we did not flee! they should check their cctvs their maintenace even assisted us in going out of the parking. Making this false accusation does not invalidate our very unpleasant experience. We booked for a night and we expected that during this stay our privacy is respected not disregarded just like in any accomodation. Making this false accusation is serious and we can take it further if we may, your cctv footages can be used as evidence. The cctv footages would also display the frequency of the staffs going in the house. this is the worst experience we had with a property and is causing us undue stress already. The room is okay but needs improvement. Please maintain the door knobs. The toilet door is opening the wrong way. This is dangerous when someone passes out inside. - you didn't understand, the opening of the toilet door is inwards. Imagine someone passed out inside, you won't be able to open it as the person inside will be blocking it. Just a recommendation to change it.
Pool is poorly maintained. Please make sure the filters and proper chlorine dosing are applied. The chlorine still lingers on my swimsuit even after rinsing it. And please replace the water every day. You have a different guest every day. The water feels like a slime. - The water is blurry, try to google it yourself to find out why. I think you are the gross manifestation of unfamiliarity. You are the one who exaggerates, a 4meterx10meterx1.2meter pool would not take 25k Php to fill up. Is the water gold? is you calculate the cubic meter based on the dimension of your pool that is only 48.768 cubic meter. Now you multiply it by the rate who ever is your water supplier. If your resort got fully booked you can replace the water so that it would be crystal clear for the next guest.
There are too many bugs, I know it is nature, but for the price point, you could have at least spent some to prevent the insects from coming inside the rooms. Some almost crawl inside my ear. -FYI, we never let the door open. The 2nd night we return the main door knob cannot be open. One of your crew try to enter the balcony door and guest what, the keys are not working either. They need to dismantle the door so we can get in. Also FYI, it is not only gamo-gamo that is in the room, there are several insects that crawls, you might also look under the wooden couch how cob webs pile up.
The food is expensive. Adjust your price. Be reasonable. Stop ripping your guests. -And yes, we only dine one time, that is why we spend most of our time away on the 2nd day to eat outside. 3rd day we bought and cooked our meal. Why the hell are you asking that? It is none of your business if this is company sponsored, the experience is what matters that is why we are providing a comment.
