I recently stayed at Timberland Highlands Resort and had a mixed experience. Here are my thoughts:

Positives: Overlooking View: One of the highlights of the resort is the stunning overlooking view, which is truly breathtaking. Staff: The staff were nice, courteous, helpful, and friendly, which made our stay more pleasant. Amenities: The resort offers various amenities. The kids' center was particularly enjoyable for my small children, keeping them entertained throughout our stay. The pool was also good, though not heated, which made it quite cold, especially during rainy or gloomy weather. Premier Deluxe Room: Compared to the regular deluxe rooms, the premier deluxe room we stayed in didn't have a moldy smell, which my relatives experienced in their regular deluxe rooms.

Negatives: Room Maintenance: Despite being a newly renovated premier deluxe room, the fixtures didn't seem new. The bathroom faucet was loose and wiggly, making it annoying to use. The sink had black gunk around the inside rim, desperately needing a scrub. The shower head and bidet also had white deposits, possibly lime, which needed cleaning. The water pressure was very low, and even after notifying the concierge and having an engineer check it, there was no improvement. This made rinsing a lengthy process. Breakfast Buffet: The breakfast buffet had a variety of choices but often ran out, and it took a while for the staff to refill it. Internet Connection: The internet connection was horrible, with a lack of connection in some parts of the hotel. Lost and Found Experience: I left my phone at the hotel and realized it was gone only when I was in Manila, about to go overseas. Initially, I was told there was no report of a found phone. Later, my sister received a call saying they found a phone and requested an authorization letter to claim it. I'm disappointed that I wasn't informed sooner, as I could have driven back to retrieve it. Additionally, my sister was charged 300 PHP by housekeeping for a missing hanger just minutes after checkout, yet the found phone wasn't promptly reported.

Overall: While the beautiful view and friendly staff were definite positives, the issues with room maintenance, low water pressure, inconsistent breakfast refills, poor internet connection, and the delayed lost-and-found communication were significant drawbacks. I hope the resort addresses these issues for a better guest experience...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Timberland Heights Resort, and overall, it was a lovely trip. The resort offers a similar atmosphere to Shangri-La Boracay, though naturally not at the same level of luxury and elegance. However, it provides a great vacation experience, perfect for stays of at least two nights to fully enjoy activities like the Outdoor Cinema, Bonfire with S’mores, and swimming in the infinity pool with its stunning views of both the city and nature. It’s a place I would return to and recommend to friends.That said, there are a few areas where improvements could be made. First, attention to cleanliness could be improved, specifically with the coffee mugs and kettle in the room. Ours had hardened residue, particularly around the mouth area of the kettle. Fortunately, the Manager promptly addressed the issue by replacing the mugs, glasses, and providing us with a new kettle, which was much appreciated.Additionally, I’d like to bring up a concern regarding the swimming pool. My son has swum in numerous pools both locally and internationally, and this was the only time he experienced an allergic reaction. We initially thought his fever was related to a cold, but on our last day, he developed rashes, which we later learned were due to an allergic reaction. The rash began on his neck and spread to his shoulders, chest, back, and limbs. After visiting his pediatrician and undergoing lab tests, it was confirmed as an allergic reaction. We suspect that it may be related to the chemicals used for pool maintenance, as this was the only pool that triggered such a reaction after over 20 others.While this was an isolated incident, I think it would be worth the management’s attention to review the chemicals used in the pool to ensure they’re safe for all guests. This would help to avoid any similar experiences for future visitors, especially those with sensitive skin.I truly hope to return and celebrate future occasions at Timberland Heights Resort, and with a few adjustments, I’m sure it can continue to offer even better experiences for...
