Meaco Royal Hotel Anilao — Hotel in Mabini

For one, the shower almost had no water! No water pressure at all in room 208. The bidet had more pressure! But that’s not the reason for this review single star review or why I’m never going back to this place.

The usual spot I book was fully booked and they recommended this place being clean with great service. At first, it was okay until no one bothered to offer any help getting our dive gears from their torture of a staircase from the parking to the hotel. Their staff was just there on his mobile chatting and flirting and smirking. What great service right?!

Lastly, after our dive, we were all ecstatic and pumped up from seeing a lot that day and I had to take calls for work in their “reception area” before showering, that’s when I notice some puppies crying. I tried to look for them but had to shower already as we had to be back in Manila for some previous engagements.

After showering and changing, right when I stepped out of the room, I see a couple of Puppies and put a smile on my face with a female staff and a male staff. The male staff with my own eyes saw him throw a puppy by the HEAD on to a concrete floor/wall!!! By the head!!! The nerve of this stupid person defending himself is just unacceptable! And all their staff was looking at me like I was at fault or I was crazy for defending a helpless puppy. So kuddos to the management and owners for hiring them!

It's beach site hotel, Morning coffee was awesome and it's peaceful place. Rest all things are much disappointing. Hospitality : Poor, available staff is busy in their own schedule of eating and sleeping. Facilities : poor (swimming pool is damaged / not in working condition, outdoor showers are not working, safety jackets are too old and not safe, no boats, rooms are full with mosquitoes, washrooms are not clean. We arrived in the afternoon about 2pm. What met us was a dirty stairway down to a contruction site, and they did not have working electricity at the time we arrived. We found out that we are the only guest there. And that the whole area is under contstruction, and by the looks for a long, long time.
