SUNGRIZ Boracay View (PALHI) — Hotel in Malay

We decided to leave Boracay a day early as there was a weather forecast that a typhoon would affect Boracay. Concerned that boats would stop running between Boracay and Caticlan, and us being unable to catch our Manila bound flight we looked for suitable accomodation near the airport.||||We spoke with the property owner who confirmed that:||property is 10 mins from airport|||| they would provide a free van shuttle||||* that the bed was Queen sized||||The property is quite a distance from airport and took us more than 20 minutes by tricycle.||||No shuttle was available. We were told to by the owner to arrange with tricycle driver dropping us off for airport transfer.||||The bed was a double and a single.||||Hot water initially didn’t work but was repaired.||||Water supply was shut down during the night and we were unable to flush toilets and have a shower.||||Property is dated and is however quite roomy.||||After bringing all these issue to the attention of the owner we were provided a mere 500p as compensation.||||Not recommended. We booked a room here when a typhoon stopped flights in Caticlan. We had instant confirmation but when we called to get an airport transfer they said they had sent a van but after waiting 30 minutes and re-calling they eventually sent someone. The resort was up the hill but we just stayed in the reception building. We had a family room (which fit 4 adults and a toddler) consisting of a double bed, a single bed, and a fold out bed. The room was small but had a TV and sofa. The bathroom was small but clean. It is sturdy but did leak during the typhoon. Location wise it is far from Caticlan (30 minutes or so from the airport) and was told that they usually provide the resort for getaway meetings for businesses. The closest town is 10 minutes away by foot and doesn't have a convenience store. There are trikes around but you need them to ring them up for a pickup. We stayed 2 nights. We didnt like it. Its too far from every where. Luckily we have motorbikes that we can buy what we need. Theres no restaurant in the resort. The staff are not friendly. We even open the gate for us. No generator. The swimming pool is on the top of the mountain. Its not worth it what we pay. I will not recommend...
