Beautiful hotel. We believe that the pandemic hit them hard. We tried to call to make a reservation but couldn’t get through so we decided to take a chance and go from Arbra de Ilog. We missed our window to catch the ferry and checked out the two hotels we could find near the port. Didn’t look like the kinds of places we would be happy with so we backtracked 30 minutes and we happy we did. For less than P2,000 we were treated to a magical adventure. ||“Are they open?” was our first thought. “No, they’re not” was our second thought. Most of the lights were off and it appeared closed. As we drove through the beautiful circular drive (and were about to drive away) a man came out. “Are you open?” “Yes, we are. I’m Henry, what can I help you with?”||We had a large, clean, comfortable room with beautiful, marble floors, good AC, large clean CR. Most of the comforts of home. I think the very beautiful hotel was built in 2018 just before the pandemic so no one knows about it. The furnishings and decor are stunning. Beautiful artwork and marble everywhere. Worth stopping just to see it. ||What could have been better: I don’t think they turned on the hot water. I believe they have shut down the elevator. When I checked in I was asked “for how many hours did I want the room?” I’ve never been asked that before. They didn’t take CREDIT CARDS. Rarely have I seen that in a nice hotel before. AND, there was a bright LED light right over the bed. When we were ready for bed and turned out the lights (switch, conveniently located right by the bed) the bright ceiling light turned off then flashed on and off. The switch turned it back on but then, when the switch turned it off it would flash All Night Long. ||Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much. We caught up on the missed sleep while on the ferry trip. The pool was beautiful and inviting. The internet was great but only in the lobby. Henry and the staff were great....
Read moreWe had an amazing stay at Isla de Oro earlier this month! The room was spacious and clean and overlooking a huge pool. We were surrounded by nature and jungle, and we felt so peaceful. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, and they went out of their way to assist us. The food was delicious and fresh, and the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner which is great (they even catered vegan for me!). We were taken to the falls and the lagoon which are close by and great for a little day trip. The garden and pool area are beautifully maintained. A great place to come and unwind if you find...
Read moreJust awful, the place is totally run down. The pool is just dreges of green slime, there was no hot water in the room, the WiFi in the room not working, the TV not working. Even safety features like emergency lighting was not connected| |The restaurant was not open ( but you could pre order and they would get something in given several. Hours notice) ||Room. In general was in a bad state of repair and dirty.||This was not a cheap hotel especially considering it is a provincial hotel in the Philippines. Truly one of the worst hotel stays I have had here or...
