A mystical enclave set deep in a jungle oasis. Booking at the Kalinaw Inn with Steve and Cherry was the best decision we made when deciding to visit Siquijor! You can learn firsthand why it is named the Isla del Fuego! Set high above the trees in a private and light-filled suite, we took in the breathtaking 360 panoramic view day and night. Wake up with the sun sparkling off turquoise waters in the distance and the singing of their lush garden and drift off to sleep with purple and orange sunsets and fireflies (so many!) as they dance among the branches of the many Tugas trees. There is a shared veranda on the second floor where you can gather and take in the scent of the garden. Honestly, it was heaven. Both hosts will regale you with history and stories of the island and their family is so sweet and welcoming too. Undoubtedly, I would recommend this gem to any person who desires a very sensitive, human and true experience of what Siquijor can offer.

Such a unique and special place to stay! We stayed in the 3rd floor which gives you 360 views of the sea and surrounding mountains/forest. Steve and Cherry are lovely hosts and are really helpful with local food recommendations and info. The tower also provides a great base to explore the other side of the island from. Would highly recommend staying here - just bring an eye mask for sleeping in the mornings!
