Four Queens Resort — Hotel in Mindanao

We rented their Penthouse on December 25-27, 2021. The Penthouse consists of 3 rooms: 1 master bedroom good for 4 with TV and toilet, 1 room good for 2 and another room good for 5 with TV and it also has a mini-dining area where the common toilet is located.

Penthouse is separated from the main resort/hotel building, and it's near the gate and of course, the main road.

Pros: Allowed our pet dog at 300php per day Good for 11pax Security guard 6pm-6am 1 TV functioned barely, poor reception Has a small pool, I think it's just for small kids.

Cons: Rundown building, no maintenance It's near the gate and the main road so it's very noisy! Both toilets smelled so bad!! Strong drainage smell Both toilet had clumps of hair on the drain!!! (Eww) Pillows and mattresses were old and hard Towels and linens were so thin and old 1 TV didn't function at all; They can't even provide new batteries for the remote All 3 rooms reeked of smoke! Very strong stench of cigarette smoke!! Found 2 cockroaches...

We were really disappointed as we were all tired from a long land trip going to Pagadian City, during Christmas nonetheless.

It's as if they didn't clean the property at all! We requested them to clean our room, change all the linens and towels, we asked for a lot of air freshener and we even helped in cleaning especially the toilets! 🤦‍♂️

I would understand if building is old, but man was it smelly, dirty and untidy. You can at least clean it properly before accepting any guests. We had no choice as we were travelling as a group. And for it's price of 5600php (more or less) per night, it's really not worth it.

I stayed here with my girlfriend's family in Dec. 2018. The staff was very accommodating by allowing her family to check-in before my flight arrived in Pagadian. I am super grateful for that. This isn't a high class luxury hotel, but considering its location it was more than adequate. Anytime there was a problem, the staff was very helpful and responsive. In my room the water heater didn't work, so they quickly switched me to another room. When an air conditioner went out in the penthouse room, the staff was there within 30 minutes to completely replace it. If you need to entertain your Filipino friends, if you buy 4000 PHP of food from the restaurant, you can use the Karaoke room for 4 hours! Great entertainment. Now, keep in mind that the pool area is totally under construction. Staff said it should be reopened by Summer 2019, but I think I would call ahead to check that before planning to use it then. They are adding a large function hall at the back. It will be nice in the future, but it is a construction zone in the back now. Security was onsite day and night and I had no issues there. Breakfast is simple but reasonably priced. Airport shuttle service was available for 300 PHP, and I recommend it. Overall I had a great experience there. The Penthouse area is GREAT if you are needing accommodation for a large Filipino family, but unfortunately it only has one shared bathroom and no refrigerator or microwave. For the smaller suite I was in, the beds were very comfortable. The wi-fi sometimes would reach to the room areas, but worked best near the restaurant area. You can take a trike down the road about a half mile to access some...
