Gratum Beach Resort — Hotel in Mindanao

This place I never thought the management is so rude, this place I feel it is a bad dream for me , if I have a choice I never come to this place with my family, I am expecting a good service from the management and staff . I am a guest and just to spend time with my family before I go back to the US , but I am disappointed because from the reception they never told us the rules and regulations, they expect us to look on the room , anyway in a short story we get barkadahan room and the other one is good for 4 , but the restroom was outside and those restroom outside doesn’t work , you supposed to used a water from the bucket every time you use the restroom, what kind of expensive place like this ? so I decided to update another room then the room it’s too hot the air condition is too small , and I never complained first because it is late and we need a place to stay. Then they never told us what is allowed and what is not allowed, so we know that sounds system we can’t do music because that is part of the rules they said , so when we go down close to the sea we started swimming then the management they have really loud karaoke sounds so we thought it is ok to bring our small sound system close to the sea and my family they are listening music while some of us we are on swimming, but too bad one of the management he is Canadian tell my brother to stop our music , the music we have it’s not even loud compare the karaoke sound they have . I am really feel bad because being a first guest and one of my family knows the management of this place we thought we have some kind of good attitude to us and worker’s are need to be nice because we are guest. This Canadian guy are not having a good attitude no excuse and he think he can do trait people in the Philippines like no respect! Hello! You are just a Canadian and very rude to your guest and we are Filipino this is our country, maybe I will introduce you to Mr.Raffy Tulfo so you will know how to bahave yourself and how to be good to your Filipino guests. I think the management need to do something about how to make all the guests welcome in your resort. my experience here in this resort are really like not a guest! too bad and not again...

No complaints at all. Our water was fine, AC worked OK and wifi was decent but I was not there to be online. Not at all a 5 * resort but all around acceptable. We were a party of eight so we booked the Summer House #2. Very roomy and comfortable for all of us. The highlight was the huge outdoor space with view and sounds of the ocean. Beach itself is a short trek down as our room was up on cliff and no direct access. Very unique beach area with rocks on both sides. Beach was just OK, too much seaweed and too shallow for swimming. The location is perfect if you want to unwind and enjoy both sunset and sunrise by the beach. The picturesque rock formations, caves, shallow and clean beach are perfect spots for you to have your Instagrammable shots.

The downside, when we stayed there for 3D2N, though they have great rooms, water is a bit of a problem. There were also issues regarding the air-conditioning.
