3rd Post Agoda already officially sent their apologies and agreed to make a refund. In addition, Agoda also committed to compensating the excess amount I spent on the room I found at another hotel in Surigao City. However; until now, I have not received apologies from "JCV rooms" for their ridiculous accusation and rude response as like savages. "JCV rooms," you can insult yourself, but please do not humiliate god. Never attempt to hide your greed in the dark in the name of god.
2nd Post Reply to the hotel's comment. Hey, JCV rooms. Do not make a story to cheat other people. Please present the Check-in form, I only put 3 people's names on it. Why? Because the fourth guy is the driver. After he dropped off our luggage, the driver had already left the hotel. We called him and asked him to come back. We let the driver wait because we had no idea if the hotel would give the committed room back to us. Unfortunately, the hotel insisted on not giving the room to us.
why did you not give the committed room to us at the beginning? 2. why did you give us a smaller room? why did you ask us to pay additional money for a room? The hotel staff said: without additional payment, we cannot use that room.
Very clear, which side is not honest? Of course, the hotel. I already fully paid, and received the confirmation from Agoda. This means there is an existing contract established. The hotel cannot abide by the contract, and "threatened" us to "Cancel the original booking". It is an evil trick!! The hotel already knew that the room on Agoda was specified as "not refundable". The hotel could take all the money and declare it is my fault if I cancel that booking.
This is my first time visiting Surigao City, and it is the worst experience for me in Surigao City. Due to "JCV rooms". Hopefully, no other tourists will encounter this experience like us when they visit Surigao City.
A sincere reminder to the Surigao City Gov., please properly manage the kind of lousy hotel business runner.
1st Post- The hotel Denied to give the committed room after I filled out all check-in form and present my passport, even I already fully paid through Agoda. The staff said either we have to pay more or downgrade and get another one room. Finally, the owner rejected my booking. We (3 of us) were forced to find another hotel in Surigao city after 9 hrs traveling from Davao. Very bad experience in Surigao city and this worse hotel. Never ever consider this hotel if you are going to visit Surigao city. Moreover, AGODA emailed and declared that the hotel will not refund because I already filled out all...
Read moreOnly stayed here because we got stranded, no ferry trips going to Siargao and other cheaper places are full because of the same situation.
They’re always open, just ring the doorbell and someone will come out. The lady who assisted us was nice and offered a cheaper rate because when we arrived there was no electricity and no water supply. The price was 800. We arrived at night (9pm?) and we were two ladies traveling so we needed to have a place to crash as soon as possible.
We extended for another day because there was still no ferry trip and we had to pay the original price which was 1,200.
Other staff (which i think are family members) are not very helpful, my laptop case got blew by the wind and asked for hep to retrieve, they said okay but then nobody came back to me so I asked again another staff and then she said they already checked and didn’t see anything 🤨
Place is near the port going to Manila, there is also a karinderya near but other than that nothing else. You’d need a private vehicle to get to places or wait for some tricycle to get to places. We weren’t able to try because we are afraid we might get higher price as it’s obvious we’re not from the area.
I also tried booking in booking.com but I am not sure what happened they said the booking doesn’t go through and they won’t accept the same price in booking.
Overall, I would say the experience was very transactional, price is also pricey for the place and location. They have a great view for sunrise though.
Take my review with a grain of salt as I have traveled to a lot of places in the Philippines and of course can’t help but compare experiences from...
Read moreThis place is close to Lipata port. Pretty decent for one-night waiting to cross with the ferry. This place has no parking area: you'll have to park on the side of the highway outside their property. Front desk took my ID for deposit, but after 1hour I went to the front desk and found my ID just lying on the table with no one around. Lucky nobody took it. Our stay was not bad, but they could use some improvements. The cockroaches can be controlled. The lock in our room can be fixed. Cleanliness can improve. The management can improve. WiFi signal...
